Hello, my name is Denise and I am from Bartlesville, OK.

I was sleeved on 12-11-12 at Bailey Medical in Owasso, OK and my Surgeon was Dr. Katsis, My starting weight was 450 lbs and as of 1-7-13 at my 4 week check up I was at 408 lbs.! YAY!

My experience to date, has been amazing. I have the worlds best family and friends, they are my cheeleaders.

I don't have any complaints, if you read my story, you will see that my health was so bad that this has been a gift of God to me and I am so blessed to have the tool to help me regain my life. So every step of this journey I am going to Celebrate because this journey is a precious gift to me.

Thank you for letting me introduce my self!

God Bless!

Welcome and congratulations on your decision. I was sleeved on Dec. 6 so I'm not too far ahead of you as far as post op. I don't regret any decisions I've made and I know that this was what I needed to save my life and my future with my family. I plan on enjoying my grandchildren and the great grandchildren after that.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
