Oh how cool is that!!

I was sleeved dec 20 in Covington! Are you seeing a nutritionist anywhere in town? I'm looking for one. I don't want to have to drive to go see the one out there.

Linda Braud at Woman's Hospital. She is great. There is also a support group meeting there second Wednesday of every month.

Glad I found this topic...I've exchanged posts with a few of you already...I am in Baton Rouge and have a consult scheduled with Dr. Bellanger on March 8th...I will have my surgery at Woman's Hospital regardless of who ends up being my surgeon...I am self-pay so no insurance paperwork or red tape at least...I know I will find this out at my March appointment, but I am curious as to how soon after my consult could my surgery possibly be scheduled...2 weeks? a month? also, do any of you recall what kind of pre-surgery diet was required by Dr. Bellanger? Any and all feedback is appreciated

I'm also in Prairiville. My surgery was with Dr. Bellanger at Woman's two days ago. I have already dropped five pounds and feel really good! A little nausea and very minimal soreness (the iv spot hurts more than my tummy!) and just trying to get in my Water.

I really look forward to getting to know y'all!

I love Linda and Katherine! They made this proces so much easier.

Dr. Bellanger actually came in on his off day to do my surgery since I am a teacher and hate to miss school. I get to recuperate during Spring Break!

glad all went well...Dr. Bellanger ordered a CT scan for me, and I am still waiting to hear back from him (or Tracy) on the results...the scan results will determine whether he can do my surgery laparscopically or not  I prefer to do my surgery at Woman's but for some reason he wants to do my surgery at St. Elizabeth's in Gonzales where he says he has more resources and specialists available ::sigh::

please keep us updated on your progress...even though I am not even scheduled yet, I still like the idea of having someone to post with on the boards who has the same surgeon

Q

He only required a one-day clear liquid diet. I was also self-pay at Woman's and had a generally good experience. One nurse acted like I was an inconvenience, and I reported that to the bariatric coordinator. Mine was scheduled within a month of the original seminar! I have lost almost 12 pounds since Monday and feel amazing, just a bit tired.

Today is the first day I've met both Protein and Fluid requirements. I'm only day 4, and already 13 pounds down, so I finally feel like this won't be just another diet at which I will fail. I hope you all are well and continuing your success.

TigerBelle and others who aren't sleeved yet, it really does get better each day. :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
