  1. Yes! I was told by my dr it would last for about 6 months...it's terrible! I take Biotin everyday and it helps some but not enough!

  3. I went through a period of wanting a sandwich so bad! You just want to bite into something, huh? When you're on liquids and soft food you just want some "real" food! Have you tried Premier Protein ready made Protein drinks? I love the chocolate one! I've tried several and this one was the best fit for me. I get mine at Sam's and they come in vanilla and chocolate. Walmart may have them too and in a smaller thing to try...not sure.
  4. The 2nd day was probably my worst BUT I stopped taking pain meds due to them making me nauseous.

  9. I did not have a drain so it might not even be something you'll have to worry about. As far as the car ride I will say I was much less sore on day 3 than I was on day 2 so staying another night close by might not be a terrible idea. Of course you could always head home and stop of you need to. Good luck with everything!

  11. I don't know how you are on protein but I've found that if I pick up my protein I lose more!
  12. Everyone has the dreaded stalls! You'll start seeing a difference soon!
  13. Feb. 27...so 4 1/2 weeks
  14. 2 weeks prior to surgery and then I was on Clear liquids 3 days after surgery and then to full liquids for 7-10 days I guess. After surgery it won't be that big of deal though. It's harder before surgery!

  16. My dr requires a full liquid diet 2 weeks out and then a clear liquid 1 week out. My mom and I both had it and followed the diet. I can honestly tell you that we both had super easy transition and recovery after the surgery. The purpose of the diet is to shrink the liver since the stomach sits behind the liver and it makes it easier for them to access. I will say I cheated a couple of times but with VERY low fat foods (a slice of cheese wrapped in some turkey).

  18. It takes a while to learn what the different feelings mean. I'm only 2 1/2 weeks out and still haven't completely learned but I have figured out the full feeling. By this time you should be able to have sf Popsicles, water, decaf tea, crystal light, yogurt but no "fruit at the bottom (I buy the Dannon light & fit Greek due to calories, sugar, carbs, and protein), creamed soups (no potato or corn due to them just being starches), cottage cheese, and protein shakes. Drink as often as you can but a lot of your "hunger" right now is in the head. I still see things and think I'm hungry when in reality I'm not. Good luck!

  20. I was also sleeved on a Wednesday and by Friday evening was off of pain meds. I'm not going to lie or sugarcoat it you will be sore BUT the more you move around the better you will feel! I was sleeved on Wednesday and out and about on Saturday (still a bit sore though). It'll be worth it though! I was sleeved on feb. 27, started liquids feb. 18 and have lost 37 lbs.
