Sorry to hear that you are having to go through this alone. It's sad that your family has chosen not to be there for you but I commend you for staying strong and going through the surgery even without someone there with you. Your new life starts today!!!! Congrats!!!! Welcome to your new life ;)

Just be strong and know you are doing this for nobody else but yourself! I'm so sorry you have to go throug this alone... just know you are NOT alone, we are all thinking about you! Please let us know how everything went.

Wow, so sorry... Think of today as a new day, you taking care of you!!

So sorry you have know support... But U maybe by yourself, but you're never ALONE!!! God is right by your side- He will never leave you or Forsake you! I pray u have a successful surgery and speedy recovery!!!

we are here for you, praying for you. congrats on your big day.. keep us posted.

Hugs! Yes, you do have support! Families can suck at times, but all of us here are rooting for you!

Its time to get healthy and sexy Missy! Woooosah!

**Let us know you are ok**

We will stand in the gap and pray that all is well for you. It will be alright. Blessings!

trying not to cry!! But I'm just getting called back now

bbbslady

i've heard that you "can" allow yourself a "cry period" of 5 minutes daily - thats it!!!!

a few tears can be therapeudic  but wipe your pretty eyes with some kleenex

back to immediate issue of taking care of yourself, losing weight which more importantly will alleviate so many of your health problems

but....i can see the strength in your eyes B)

admitting you have a problem of weight is 1/2 the battle - how smart are you!!!!

your road is starting a little bumpy with the absense of support from family

you know how important WLS is to help your journey to health and happiness- thats why you made the big hard decision to have WLS - you are so smart!!!!

your hard work will be slowly but surely rewarded, and you will enter the wonderful world of Sleeveland - where health and happiness are waiting for you

ask all your questions here, hopefully you have a NUT too - and you can also confide in your surgeon

maybe you have a friend of two that you can share your situation with, and reach out for help - no time for pride to prevent you from asking for help

try and get plenty of rest, relax - drink as much as you can - slowly - immediately after surgery, and following days - liquids/water are the most important thing to concentrate on

Protein will come with your Protein shakes at first, but don't worry or rush it if they can't stay down

you just had major surgery - its be nice to your tummy week, or two ;)

btw - can you feel me squeezing your hand with healing thoughts :)

HUGGS :)

take care of yourself

speedy recovery

good wishes being sent your way

Good luck hun! You will do just fine without your family. You probably don't need the negativity from them on your special day anyway..Just keep in mind that you are in the right place for support! We are all here to help you through this. I wish you the best on your journey! You are in good hands!

From reading the above posts, I can tell you that your not alone. we are all here for you. Let us know how your doing we care. Thank you for allowing us to be here for you. This is a gigantic family with lots of love and support..... Close your eyes and have a wonderful journey to sleeveland...... :)

I know exactly how you feel , I had my surgery back in Sept, 3 hrs away from home & no one went with me, I was all alone too. I was pretty down ,myself , at first , but after the surgery was over , I didn't care. I was too worn out to even realize that no one was there. In a way it was nice not having to deal with anyone fussing over me ,besides the nurses. I then realized I needed that time alone to heal & concentrate on me. I will keep you in my prayers for a speedy recovery & like someone else said, your not alone , God is with you :)

I'm sorry your family isn't there but alone you are not!! We are here and more importantly like said above God is always by your side. I will be praying for you. God bless you.

Wow after reading a post here, I remembered that my DH took me to the hospital and left to go to work after my surgery and I really didn't have any visitors until my daughter picked me up after the second night. I had a lot of fun with my morphine pump, slept and didn't miss anyone. It was so nice to be left alone. :) Gosh how lucky was i....?
