Never wear flat shoes you need a little heel , take a water bottle and freeze it and when its hurting take it out and rub foot over it , strech it ... I'm a Nail tech and this helps my pedi clients .

I had this in one foot. I had all the cortisone shots ad they would help for a bit. Also had physicAl therapy for it for a while. but then eventually came back. Eventually had surgery on the foot that had it. Best decision. But now have it bad in the other foot and would rather wait to have surgery and lose weight. I honestly believe it is brought on by weight.

This helps for me. Freeze an ice bottle and roll your foot on that. Also do that with a tennis ball. Also, get a towel and wrap that around the bottom if your foot and pull the ends up toward you. AND stay off of it for a few days while doing the above.

Yeah I'm sure that will be something I need to do. All I own is flip flops. Going to buy sneakers tomorrow. Any brand better than others?

Yes. Brooks makes great sneakers. They are kinda pricey but the have excellent support and are worth every penny.

For all of you recommending more cushioning and arch support check out the book "Tread Lightly." It basically shatters the myth that motion control and supportive shoes do anything to prevent pain or injuries. There have never been any studies proving they work, only shoe company marketing campaigns making unverified claims. I have been wearing and running in vibram five fingers and my feet have never felt better. Orthotics may help alleviate the pain but it's just a bandaid. Increasing the strength and flexibility of the foot and lower leg will eliminate the problem.

I had it too, but I am down about 80lbs now and NOTHING! I am SOOOO HAPPY! I bought a pair of $100 dollar flip flops when it got bad (I used to live in FL so I GET the FL thing! LOL) and now I dont need them (and they are too big!) If you are a size 11 I can send them too you - they worked wonders!!!!!! Just let me know I would rather someone get some use out of them and they really do help!

Oh my goodness size 11!?! I wish I could get some use out of then. However, I'm 4"10, size 6 :) lol ill prob be wearing kid sizes again once I lose more weight. Congrats on your loss! I'm 2 mths out and down 64. Loving it!

I did see a podiatrist. He taped me up for 3 days then gave me inserts, put me on a steroid pack, Celebrex, and told me to stay off my feet as much as possible for 8 weeks. That was 2 weeks ago, my left foot us completely better no pain even in the am. Right foot is another story. It is better, but still painful in the am and when I first start walking on it. I guess 2 1/2 yrs if dealing with it was way too long. I'm just praying that it gets better without further intervention.

I'm on my feet all the time with work. Loosing weight has helped my feet problems. There's also a special sock I've use that helped my feet to stretch the muscle. I think B-12 helps with the inflammation also.at least it's helped me.

I take B12 but thinking about switching to the injection to see if it makes a difference.

Ok I know this sound kinda weird but I have the same thing.. Skechers made a shoe called "shape ups" these shoes have a cushy sole that makes your foot "rock" while you walk. I saw a different version of them in kohls the other day. Well I never feel pain when I wear them! It's worth it to at least try a pair on :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
