I got them figuring if I was having issues getting all protein in I would use them. I tasted one and it is like syrup.... Sweetness and thickness!!! Blah!!!!! I did decide that I would use them by added a couple ounces to my crystal light and it made that taste like a Popsicle. Really over powered the flavor of the crystal light. I didn't mind it mixed up the flavored and gave me some extra protein. I wouldn't buy them again but will try to use what I have already in this way!

Yeesh. Your NUT sounds like real jerk. You have to use your teeth? That's preposterous. Your teeth won't fall out if you don't use them, at least during a puréed food stage.
And I've never heard that you have one year. That doesn't sound logical. I'll ask my surgeon about that but I bet he'll just laugh.

Being content with eating one small plate of food at each of the holiday celebrations, while all those around me ate to the point they were miserable,
Being able to be picky when trying on clothes. Even if something fits, if it isn't flattering, not buying it - instead of buying anything (or the one thing) that halfway fits you at all,
Getting to pick from a variety of pretty underwear styles - instead of the granny pants styles.
Being able to stand on one foot and raise the other one off of the floor while shaving my legs in the shower.
Having my husband put his arm around my waist and move me in front of him in the family pictures this year (instead of me hiding half behind him)

    Just saw your additional post.
I am almost 5 weeks out and this was the first time I dreamed of food.
I too have had no desire for food which is a very odd feeling...sorta of like having an out of body experience. My whole perspective on food has changed. We'll see how long the non interest in food lasts (hopefully for quite awhile....I love the weight loss though)

NO dreaming about food. And unlike so many threads I read I do not feel "tortured" by food I used to love when it surrounds me. I have ZERO appetite for anything and am just eating bc I HAVE to. Hot tea is the only thing I enjoy now. Maybe this is good but it seems odd when I'm reading all the other posts. Surgery date 7/23/12.

I was always a nigthtime eater. Usuallly it was when I would do the most damage. Most of it was not hunger, but habbit. End of day, sit down at computer or in front of television and eat something. I am never hungry now, but that is a habbit that wants to die hard. I just feel like I need to eat something when doing one of those things at night. So it's time to break the habbit. Here are some things that are working for me. I replace food with a big glass of ice Water. I replace food with something else to do with my hands, like folding laundry, fixing something, brushing the dog, petting the cat, etc.
Figure out what your food trigger is at night. You may have a routine that is completely obvious to you, or you may have to log it for a while. You may either have to find replacements for food or change the trigger completely. Try going for a walk, reading a book in bed, going to bed early if you have to. You are experiencing head hunger so you need to find ways to trick your head into breaking that habbit. You can do it!!
Also, I am assuming based on your surgery date that you are either still in liquid or pureed phase. Once you are eating dense Protein at dinner, you probably will not be able to eat at all after dinner!

So i feel great I run 3 mi every morning 5 days a week. Sometimes I miss food. But i went from 6xl shirt to 2xl, pants waist 58 to a 46, not bad. I dont regret anything I love my sleeve. I have post a before and after pic. Good luck to evryone.

Yeah, don't buy too much of anything right yet, not only might you find you don't like it, but even if you do like it now,you might not after surgery.
Another shake to try is Chike. I only like their banana & their chocolate favors. But I do like those a lot. And their made in Texas.
