Right now, I have a week before my first pre-op appointment where I meet with the nutritionist and nurses, get my bloodwork and all my first measurements in. Even then I'll have to do 6 months supervised weight loss before they can schedule surgery, so keep that in mind with this!

I am 5'3", weigh 335, and I wear a 22/24-26/28 on top, 26 on bottom, basically a 4x.

Where do you stand?

No matter where you are on your journey, could you share some body stats? If not your current stats, then where you started?

I sometimes see people becoming discouraged if someone is losing faster, or someone who weighs the same as they do can wear a smaller size.

I think it will help to see that everyone is DIFFERENT, we all carry our weight differently, and height makes a difference. Muscle mass and gender make a HUGE difference.

Feel free to update as your size changes.

HW: 263

DOS: 232

CW: 137

I do still notice changes to my shape even though my weight has been stable for 6 months. I would like to lean out more to get to 130 lbs by April 2015. We'll see.

I'm 5'6", my weight before surgery was 252lbs, and I was a size 22/2XL. Now one month out of surgery (as of today), I am 228lbs, my clothes are getting baggy, and I'm feeling great! :)

I'm 43, was a size 16, 201 lbs. I'm short at 5'1.

I'm a different kind of sleeve patient because I wasn't very high on the bmi scale but I am borderline diabetic, have GERD terribly and insomnia due to weight.

I won't have surgery until Oct 23rd but my stats right now are as follows....

Ht 5'6

HW 256

CW 234 size 16 jeans that I can slide off without unbuttoning, or size L yoga, sweats, or other slip on pants. Tops are either a L or XL.

Everyone is different. It depends a lot on height and each individual's build or body type. I wear a size 16 jeans because my thighs and butt are too big for the size 14 my waist would prefer. If I wear the 14 I end up with nasty plumber's crack whenever I bend or sit down. Lol!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
