I'm amazed and relieved to know being two weeks post op that I'm not the only 1 that has done it!!! I did it with Doritos and I didn't feel bad after doing it either and for those who say its a disorder my response is....whatever...I had a moment and it happened only once I'm sure it will happen again but I see nothing wrong with it as long it's not something that's being done on the regular....I've lost a total of 40lbs so far and my surgery date was October 16 and emergency surgery October 19 and feeling really Good!!! Have a great day everybody!!!

I dont feel I have an eating disorder either. I assume it could be but I needed to fight a craving! Congrats on the weight loss...I had surgery on the 19th and i am down 20 lbs...how did you loose 40!?

Congrats on your weight loss also!!! I lost alot on the liquid pre-op diet!!!i lost about 24lbs on the 3 week liquid diet and then since the week of surgery which is 2 weeks ago exactly tomorrow I've lost a total of 17lbs as of this morning!!

ok

Thank you! I misunderstood I Thought you lost 40 lbs post surgery!

I just want to thank you for being brave enough to post this. During the 2nd week post op I caved and chewed on food then spit it out. I knew that the head hunger was getting the best of me and that it would pass. I thought I was the only one.

I hope I didn't offend anyone with term eating disorder. For me, not eating appropriate food, eating too much or too little= dis. order. I'm not eating orderly, so I'm "dissing" the orders (based on sound nutrition for a lean and healthy body). a 5'5" woman weighing 278 pounds, who should weigh 138, does not follow "orders", she follows her addiction to fat, carbs, and sugar. Maybe its because I'm an "older middle-aged" woman and have gone through every program imaginable since I was 16 and finally realize it wasnt the diet that failed me, it was me failing me.

I did it! It was so great! and so discusting! We were at my daughters softball game and I chewed up cheese balls and spit them out in a cup. It was so gross! But I was 2 weeks post op and I so needed something to chew up!

I licked Doritos during my 2nd week post op but didn't chew them. I needed the taste of something that wasn't a Protein shake.

Glad to know there are fellow Dorito lickers out there! I have so been there done that!

I am so glad to read that I am not the only one! Fortunately the feeling passed relatively quickly, and hasn't returned since. I am reading that some are saying this is a symptom of an eating disorder, but I think we should recognize that going weeks without eating any solid food is not normal either! We are human, and humans eat, humans chew, and it is ok to miss that sensation.

Thank goodness im not the only one ,my aunt was trying to be funny on my bday wed.and brought pizza I.wanted some so.bad I.actually.bit.a pce ,chewed for awhile and spit.it out...lol

I AM SO GLAD I AM NOT ALONE! I am a week out and just starting puree!

I think everyone here has done that! Of course you're not alone!

I licked Doritos during my 2nd week post op but didn't chew them. .

LMAO ...dude I am your sister from another mister..cause I did the same thing!

I did it.....The only thing I can say is I felt really bad about putting it in my mouth in the first place' date=' then I felt gross spitting it out, then I was relieved I didn't swallow. .[/quote']

Ok it might be just me...but is anyone else reliving their early dating history in this thread???? :o

Lol omg iggy! I spewed my sobe Water when i read that. (Didnt swallow)

Still laughing....

I did it! It was so great! and so discusting!

I'm telling you...go back and read the thread....it's a killer! LMAO :P
