What does the diet your surgeon calling for currently? I am pretty sure cheetopuffs are not on the plan. :) With that said, I would just come clean to your surgeon's office and ask if there could be any issues due to it.

Also, as for hunger - I was really hungry too and just made sure to sip, sip, sip Water all day. Sometimes our bodies misconstrue thirst for hunger. Give it a try and hope all works well for you. It will get better - I promise!!!

I would just make sure and stick with the diet. You certainly don't want to do ANYTHING that could cause a leak or any other complication. Lord....there are folks on this forum that have spent 4-6 weeks in the hospital for complications! :(

Get rid of those things!!

They'll lure you in with their cheesiness! ;)

I would recommend you read "The End of Overeating", to gain a clear understanding of why you're even wanting something like Cheetos. Seriously. Stick with your nutritionist's plan, and gain an understanding of why you would do otherwise.

Best of luck to you

Me too!! I haven't yet. I was thrilled to eat a half a can of Soup and be full. Sleeved the 15th. Did the cheese puffs make you sick? I am dying for a little snack.< /p>

Can eating a certain food cause a leak?

Yes...you will.

Sounds like a must read for me. I can't wait to heal and eat normal but am afraid I will push it.

Yes eating solid food too soon can cause a leak. Not sure cheetos would but they are dangerous because they are high calorie slider food. When I craved something cheesy when I was in the full liquid/mushy stage I ate plain greek yogurt with salt and pepper and some sprinkle parmesan cheese mixed in or powdered ranch dressing mixed in and it satisfied.

Why put yourself through the pain and expense of a drastic surgical intervention and then choose to disregard your surgical team less than a week in? I just don't get it. Why bother having surgery?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
