Nope!! It's a slippery slope for me' date=' especially with sweets. I can't allow myself to cheat, especially at this point, bc who knows where I'll end up! I have NO willpower with sweets and will have to stay away from most altogether to stay on track.

Don't cheat!! You're strong...and you can do this! You're only cheating yourself. Just think long term and put in your mind, the reasons you went through this drastic surgery.

I bought a cute, size 14 dress that I look at, along with a picture of my children when feeling tempted.

Try to distract yourself...you got this, girls!!![/quote']

I will try to do better. I realize i reach for something and don't realize what i am doing out of habit. I am back on track today. Just a little oops along my journey.

Sugar is like crack to me. I don't have an urge and I'm staying away as long as I can.

Has anyone cheated yet? I had a small cookie tonight while carving pumpkins with my family. I chewed it into nothing before i swallowed.

I haven't had any Cookies yet... I did have a bite of a twizzler. Lol my daughter didn't want it and handed to me and like second nature I bit it then threw the rest out after catching myself.

Wow your are on soft foods early. I don't get to start until Sunday. I haven't had any issues with food either. I am really shocked at how easy this has been.

Worked my first "real" day of work yesterday. It only ended up being 6 hours and I was glad because I was so tired afterwards, but then when I got home of course I got my second wind and didn't get to bed til 10PM. Tonight is the true test I have 3 nights overnight training 10-7AM it won't be as busy lie the day so I can definitely get in my Protein & fluids since it's more relaxed. I just hope I can stay awake. After those 3 nights so glad that I have normal shifts :*) I also got in a 30 minute walk on my break. Found a gym close by, lots of shopping and Tony Romas when I am able to eat real food ;*) My pain is very minimal now, I feel like my incisions are healing well and for the most part I have no interest in real food which is good because I am still so far away from having it. Today I FINALLY picked up the house and did dishes. Now to relax before work.

How is the overnight training going? I finally feel like I am healing now. I only worked a few days last week. I am back to my normal 10 hour days this week. I take a good nap at lunch and feel better than last week. Are you having trouble getting in protein and fluids now that you are back to work?

Thanks! It sounds like so little' date=' but I'm trying to think of every pound lost as a little victory. That's hard to do when I still have almost 100 to go!!! :/[/quote']

I understand! I have 150 pounds to lose. But we're in this together & we'll take it one pound at a time. =)

This has been fairly easy. I'm sick of Protein Shakes, though. They're so sweet!

Funny how we eat by habit...I picked up some candy from a candy bowl on halloween and then put it back.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
