To The Moms Out There

Recommended Posts

I did! I was sleeved on the 13th of sept. and all is going well! Thanks for asking! I know I probably shouldn't, but I pick up my kids all the time and don't notice a thing. I try to carry my 26lb boy less than my 20lb girl, but sometimes he just needs to be held. The kid thing has been the easiest part...now if I can just figure out the eating thing! :)

The eating thing gets better with time. I remember my first month out, I was wondering what I did to my self. Then I got my fall clothes out and they are all too big!!!! I know I couldn't have done it on my own

I have a 3 month old baby girl and had the surgery done 12 days ago. Today was my first day alone with her and it went well. Hard to bend too much but holding her carefully and while sitting has been fine. I did this for our future. I want to be an active, healthy mom so when she's young was the best option for me...for her...for our family. You can visit my sleeve blog at www.fatchickgonewild.blogspot.ca

Thank you so much fir sharing your blog. What an inspiration. I have been having so many doubts. This really helped me. I have 3 kids as well, one of which is 4 months old. My kids are my life and I want to be the mom they deserve. I love all of the little details you put in your blog about the surgery. It helped to put my mind at ease. Thanks! Keep in loosing:-)

Jar213, I hear you. I have been doing the preop diet and am having a hard time. It makes me also realize even though I may be strong, I can't handle this food thing in my own, I do need the help.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
