  1. Here is a question and obviously I am going to call BCBS but the labs we have to get preop, the doc staff told me to go to Quest. Did u pay for the labs to be done?
  2. Great question. I also have BCBS Federal and wanted to know how much I needed to pay out of pocket. I was told it was $150 for the surgeon, $150 per day in the hospital/facility, and 30% for the drugs. I have put several calls into the doc office but still have gotten no response. I will be out of work for two weeks, God willing, and do not want to use my leave. Any help on this is greatly appreciated
  3. Yes, maybe he was this way because I was the last person and we were there for over 4 hours. Did he say how many he has done and hiw he handled the leaks? Btw, how are you feeling? Im going to try and go to one of the meetings this week. Sorry to bombard you with questions.

  5. I am still waiting for my insurance to approve. Got the psyc avail done. Not going to lie, when I met with the doc, and was asking questions, he pretty much told me not to worry about what he does, we'll, I'm a worrier. Also, this question I didn't ask was, how many sleeves has he done? I know he has done over 1600+ bypass. Glad I found someone in my area
  6. Anyone have thier surgery at Abington? Who was your surgeon?

  8. Here is a question for all of you who use Dr. B. How many sleeves has he done? A friend of mind had the DS surgery with him and Loved him. The surgeon I had met does sleeves but has done more bypass. I have been approved for surgery but am still a little unsure who I should use. Obviously I want someone who has more experience
  9. Jar213, I hear you. I have been doing the preop diet and am having a hard time. It makes me also realize even though I may be strong, I can't handle this food thing in my own, I do need the help.
  10. Thank you so much fir sharing your blog. What an inspiration. I have been having so many doubts. This really helped me. I have 3 kids as well, one of which is 4 months old. My kids are my life and I want to be the mom they deserve. I love all of the little details you put in your blog about the surgery. It helped to put my mind at ease. Thanks! Keep in loosing:-)
  11. How long were you down and out? Any type of complications?
  12. Jiji, did you have surgery and how are you making out with your kids?
  13. Yes, I would say healthier. I cook for example french fries for the kids and they come out crunchy like if u were to fry them. It cuts half the time in cooking
  14. Yes, I have one. I've had it for over two years. I love it. I have three kids so its a life saver. You can cook pretty much anything in it.
  15. Im in the process. Just got my psych eval and now just wating to hear back from my insurance. Im right outside Philly in langhorne. I've been doing the preop diet and its been a little tough. I guess that's way I need the surgery.
