Oh yeah... I can totally see the difference. Your stomach went down, and you look much more narrow. I also have a hard time seeing the difference, so I always take pictures, when I look at the picture I notice the difference instantly. Best of luck to you.

I can definitely see a difference too! Looking at your picture before surgery (wearing black) vs. your after picture in pink, you abdominal area shrunk big time and your waist is much more defined now, even though lighter colors usually make us look bigger.

I know how you feel about not seeing a difference but pictures definitely help and wearing old clothes (nice move!). I'm an August baby too, BTW! ;) Wishing you a great journey as you get to goal and maintain your accomplishment in health and happiness.

Hi there I feel the exact same way!! I had mine 6/6 so I'm just about the same as you and at 60lbs loss. People come up to me all the time and say omg wow you look great and I just don't see it at all. I have looked at before and after pics and still see the same person with no changes. I was warned about this and heard that it can take some time. Hang in there bc you look great!!

I feel the same way! I am really unable to take pride in the work that I have done so far, simply because I am not able to see it!!

I went shopping for a dress: SIZE 2X from a 4X!! To me I looked no different; but my husband told something that is very true!! He said I am looking at what I have LEFT to lose, instead of what I ALREADY lost...And that's maybe why I can't see the change :(

It takes time to get use to. I am 4 months out and have lost 90 lbs and sometimes still think I am fat. Keep one pair of your old clothes and try them on once a month. It helped me.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
