Hello! was sleeved on 13/02/13 at the Royal Gloucester Hospital. So it has been 5 days. Ihave felt fine so far and the liquids are going down well. I tried to iron last night.... bad choice.... who knew you used so many midrif muscles to iron :)

Hi, I've only just found this group. I was sleeved on the 23/1/13. I'm stuck at the moment and a little bit down, I'm on week 5. Last wk I only lost a pound and a half and this wk looks like its going to be the same. I've up'd my fluids, I was finally able to eat something yesterday without being sick which was great, just hoping this stops the tiny weight loss and kick starts the good weight losses.

Hi Dee. I was sleeved on the 10/1/13 and hit a stall for about 3wks. It is a downer but my only advice is try your best not to get obsessed with the scales, as that's what put me in a bad mood! Just carry on doing what your doing, the stall will come to an end soon and you will notice the weight drop :)

I think I do get a little obsessed :-( I think this may be due to me paying for my surgery myself and the fact we barely eat anything, I just really want to see results. I have upped my fluids and now carry a water bottle with me to sip all day, this I think will help as all over this forum people have said that helped them. I'm also getting very very dry skin :-( hopefully the fluids will help this too. Thank you for your reply and support :-)

Hi I'm from the north east, I had surgery on 20/12/12, scary but the best decision I've made since deciding to have my kids. I was originally 290 lbs and mow I am 184. I have dropped from a size 22/24 to a size 14/16. For the first time in over a decade I feel alive. I would honestly say I have had no problems. Until now! I feel a little run down. I can only seem to eat about 10grams of protein and I know it should be so much more. I haven't a clue wether I should be taking more than just a multi vitamin to help and my hair is falling out a LOT. Anyone with advice or tips out there I would greatly appreciate it

Have you had any blood tests post op to heck your levels etc to make sure you are getting everything. I had mine at 6 months and 12 months. Not sure exactly what they checked for but I do know I asked them specifically to check my b12. Everything was fine and I don't have to check again until 2 yrs post op. I had my op in April 12.

I take multivitamin, b12 and biotin each day.

I have my 6 month post op check in a week, I think they are doing bloods then.

Hi all, I was sleeved Aug 8th 13. I'm 5 weeks out & have lost 2 stone, very pleased so far, I've been told to avoid bread, pasta, rice & potatoes at the moment but need some softish food inspiration! I had my sleeve done in London Bmi independent hospital. Hope everyone is doing good too x

Ok' date=' surgery took place in King College, Denmark Hill, done by Mr Patel. It was over quickly and I was home on a 3rd day. First 24 or 48 hours are when I needed some pain and sickness relive. The first few weeks sleeping arrangements were a bit tricky. My first postop 5-9 nights I spebd[/quote']

I also had my surgery at Kings College with Mr Patel. How are you doing? I'm just on 7 months post op now... 7st down :) halfway there!!
