  1. I'm an emotional eater, thank you for this.
  2. Good for you for your public admission of struggle and request for help. This board is always full of people with good ideas. I think you know what you have to do though, Protein, Protein, Protein ... And get that exercise up. I wish you well.
  3. 81lb down, sleeved 3April 2012, slow but sure.
  4. How much loss and in what time?
  5. Well done, 100lb loss is my ultimate goal. I currently stand at 48lb down -I am a slow loser (sleeved April 3rd) but it is coming off and I will get there.
  6. Sorry no issues, just wanted to say I hope you get out soon. Find a liquid you like and sip sip sip .... Best wishes Cathy
  7. Thank you. I have just replied using the iPad
  8. OTR as you use an ipad can you help me please? How do you post a reply to a topic, it is easy on the PC as a box appears but I don't get that on the ipad version
  9. add Protein powder to 100g of 0% greek yoghurt, depending on your protein powder this combination gives approx 30g of protein. PS when you first add the powder and stir the yoghurt goes quite dry just keep on stirring and it comes good
  10. Take your protein powder (20g protein) and add it to 100g of 0% greek yoghurt (10g protein) mix and eat! The yoghurt will go dry at the first mix but keep on stirring and it will come good.
  11. I have onl told a couple of people at work, when others ask "what are you doing?" I reply "smaller meals, high protein and no bread" this is all true. If anyone specifically asks if I have had surgery (they haven't yet) then I have decided to give them the full version.
  12. I measure myself weekly(same day) and I measure: bust, waist, hips, left thigh, left upper arm and neck. you may also want to add calf and wrist. Some people measure right side too (because I am right handed I found this too akward). 4 months out and a total of 30" lost
  13. Well done you! you are obviously doing things right and it is all coming together, keep on rocking that sleeve and you will achieve your 6 months goal.
  14. I know I have said this a few times on different posts but I will say it again - measure yourself. I am a slow loser (44lb in 31/2 months) and I do get discouraged when I see some of the losses that people post but I find that by weighing and measuring if one does not go down the other does. I weigh and measure once a week.
  15. I weigh and measure myself once a week. I find that if the scale does not move much then the inches do and it stops me getting dishearted.
  16. Have you measured yourself? This is a great tool for when the scales do not move. I was lucky to measure myself pre-op and remeasure myself when the scale does not move is invaluable and keeps me sane, I am 31/2 months post op and have lost a total of 43lb -now that is not a lot when compared to some and it gets me down at times. However, I measure bust, hips, waist, left thigh, left upper arm and neck and my inches loss is 30" which I am happy with. I weigh and measure each week and I find that if the scale does not go down then the inches do and vice versa. Give measuring a try it might help you
  17. Welcome, your journey so far has been fast. This site is a mine of information and there is always someone on hand to offer advice and assistance. The good thing is people have either had the surgery or it is pending and in both cases they have done loads of research and so the advice given is good and practical. take care of yourself -Cathy
  18. Congratulations on your loss and on taking a hold of your life and putting it on the right path, well done you. You will find this site inspiring and so useful for advice. I was sleeved 3rd April and so far have lost 37lb, weight loss is a bit slower than I hoped but following threads on this site I see people loose at different rates so I am not too unhappy. Today I joined a gym (and paid for the full year) so I have to go now and tone up my jelly belly and the other bits as the weight comes off.
  19. Great testimony and you are a good inspiration. Well done on your weight loss so far. I have no doubt you will complete the journey. I myself have to find the exercise I love, still trying different things.
  20. I am so sorry to hear about your problems, it must be frightening for you. I can only offer prayers and positive vibes and hope that you and your doctors find a solution soon.
  21. Well done on reaching the 100's and good luck for the rest of your journey. I was sleeved 3rd April and down 35lb but I can only dream of the 100's just now -it is going to take some more time. Cathy
  22. glad to see you are back, poached egg on mackerel is one of my favourite dinners plus if you put the mackerel on a bed of spinach itis even nicer. cathy
  23. You look great and 50lb down is a great achievement. Well done. I got sleeved 3rd april and I am 34lb down - in my heart I wish it were a bit more, but hey if I hadn't done this I'm sure it would have been up.
  24. You taking your vitamins? I think it is lack of B12 that can cause tiredness. If I'm wrong I'm sure someone in the know will come along and give the correct advice.
  25. As part of my contract with surgeon I have to send in weight and measurements each month (using them as part of research) for at least 2 years. I am also taking a picture each month. Only 2 sets so far pre-op and 1 month post (I'm 6 weeks out)
