Hi all' date=' I was sleeved Aug 8th 13. I'm 5 weeks out & have lost 2 stone, very pleased so far, I've been told to avoid bread, pasta, rice & potatoes at the moment but need some softish food inspiration! I had my sleeve done in London Bmi independent hospital. Hope everyone is doing good too x[/quote']

Hi UK sleevers, food wise I have been following the 'Fitter Food London' cookbook and lifestyle. If you go on their website they have lots of free recipes. They're really easy to make. Soft foods I just had Philly cheese, tuna, scrambled egg, mashed avocado and yoghurt. I love ox tongue and loved the rich source of nutrients so I mashed that up to. Another very helpful resource is the protein pow(der) app/website. Again lots and lots of free recipes (on the website) made from clean ingredients and protein powder.. A few are low carb as well. Good Luck :)

Hello my name is Richard from Cheltenham .. Had the pre op today ready for my op on the 9th October :)

I have not struggled at all on the 800 calorie diet , I think it is because I had imagined a whole month on liquids etc.. I gave hard boiled eggs apples .. Ryvita with the blue cheese laughing cow , always a few polo mints and my daily treat is a werthers original at bedtime and in three weeks I have lost around 11 kilo :)

Forgot also the lovely cup of slimming soup from bachelors. The minestrone is mmmmm and only 62 calories per cup :)

Keep it up u have made the right choice. I an 9 months out now 10months on the 21st and absolutely love it.

Hi, good luck for the 9th, I'm 8 weeks out now & it's the best thing I've done! I eat lots of protein, it's filling, prevents too much muscle loss & generally makes me feel good! I've lost 3 stone too!

Thanks to both of you :) and well fine on your success it's great to hear from people that have had it done , all I want to do is get it over with and start living a better healthier and active life .. Richard

hi, recently sleeved in mid september. i am on the 3 rd week of soft diet. i have noticed that i feel hungry , and i was under the impression i am not going to be hungry for a long time. does anyone feel hungry or is it just me. i am getting worried about this and would appreciate any help. thanks

Dont worry about it. Its normal happens to majority of people but at different times as we are all individuals. Make sure y dont mistaken dehydration for hunger. Just enjoy te ride, its worth it. Im nearly 10 months out on 21st oct and down around 40kg and from a size 22,24 to 12,14 dependant on brand, style etc

Dont give up. Best of luck.

Hi everyone. I'm getting sleeved on 12th November at Nuffield Brentwood with Mr Koak. My pre op slimfast diet starts on 29th. I am very excited but also nervous. My husband is great but he's a feeder and is getting very twitchy about me eating small meals. I have secondary progressive MS and still work part time, as he's retired he's the chef.
