Hello new and from the UK

For those who are in the process of pre sleeve, a good place to shop for protien shakes is Holland and Barrett. They have a good range , also have whey protein isolate which gives 35 gms with skimmed milk. I have been to costco and the choice in the UK is limited, as compared to what i have read in these posts. Also good protein bars are available on amazon website . hope this helps.

Hello new and from the UK

Hi lucky, I am doing well. Had my valentines day and my 5 th month anniv. I have lost some weight as well now officially overweight!! I am feeling good, I am not into exercising but my work is strenuous, walk when I can. In fact I have so much of energy that I feel I am going hypomanic!! trust me, if you tried everything and nothing worked, go for it! I did not do it because of people, to be honest never felt any issues there but it was health I was worried about. I am 38 and did not want to wait till i have DM Ht etc. My height is also not to my advantage and it really put me range of severe morbid obesity. I don't weigh myself daily, and concentrate on my Proteins and enjoy with my family once a week. I wish I had done it earlier. regards, fatgirl...hopefully slim soon.

  13. Hi, Indians are majority Hindus by religion. Strict followers are vegetarians, and beef would be definite no no.
  14. Just my 2 cents worth. A disordered habit, eating disorder, addiction call it whatsoever are all within a spectrum of long term psychological issues. My advice would be to seek professional help from a therapist or a psychiatrist in one to one setting in not in a forum. That would be the right kind of support.
  15. any chance you get a dog so you all have to go out for a short walk and that can give you all some time outside?

    Can't "eat" enough

I think its too early to count your proteins as I was advised for the fluids more than the protein the first couple of weeks. I was on a tight schedule of fluids and shake. Just see to that you manage a good urine output at this stage. Then you can concentrate on the prots. Protecting your kidneys should be the main thing. Dont worry.

    Coping With Christmas

Dear sleevers, I thought of starting this new thread and please let me know if its already somewhere here on the forum. I got sleeved in Sept this year and though things have been fantastic the festival season is bringing its own challenges. Workplace is now filled with chocolates, cookies and mince pies. There are are at least 3-4 parties each of us has to attend till the 25 th and that adds more pressure. As most of us have struggled with saying no to food all our life i wondered if we could make this thread as a bank of information with techniques we can use to distract ourselves from food, deal with the stress, and keep on top of our sleeve. I would really appreciate any positive suggestions to be on the right track , especially from the veterans. Thanks.
  21. My hunger is back for sure. I still feel full quickly but get hungry within 2 hours. I am 4 months post op. Can anyone answer if this is normal, if yes then what measures should I take?
  22. The rule of thumb is in the first month you lose about 10% of your starting weight.
  23. GG you look great and you look happy! your sons are so handsome!
