  2. Hi all! I will be having my surgery in 4 days and I'm curious to know how much weight you lost during your first month? Also, I took 2 weeks off of work and I'm wondering if people will notice any difference in 2 weeks... I'd love to read your responses!!
  3. I'm happy to hear that you are doing well!

  12. Congrats Gelica and Happy Birthday! Don't feel sad about not celebrating your birthday with food or cake. You are starting a new and healthier life and that in itself is worth celebrating. There will be plenty of more birthdays that you can celebrate. You did something amazing for yourself and a few months from now this will all be in the past. My surgery is in 3 weeks and I can't wait!! I won't be able to eat food with my family on Christmas or have Vodka on New Year's but you know what, I've been there and done that plenty of years in the past. There will always be next year!
  13. I have dealt with this issue in the past. When I diet and abstain from certain food choices I do really great, but whenever I decide I will just "have a few bites" of something that I shouldn't be eating, it all goes downhill. I always ruin my diet when I do this, so I think that I will just abstain.
  14. Good luck today and please keep us posted! I'm a ball of nerves and I still have like 3 more weeks before my surgery.
  15. I'm scheduled for Dec. 18th and I plan on staying that night alone in the hospital so that my hubby can go home and stay with our 2 year old. I don't want to inconvenience anyone to have to stay with my daughter. And like previous posters said- there is plenty of help at the hospital
  16. I have an IUD as well and I keep forgetting to tell my surgeon that I have one. I wonder if that is even something I should bring up...what do you think?

  23. Hi all! So it seems to me that everyone on this site is required to do a pre-op diet. I find it strange that my surgeon does not require that of me- he just told me no food or Water after midnight the night before surgery. However, I somehow feel that I should put myself on a diet the week before my surgery. But what kind of diet? Is there anyone out there that isn't doing a pre-op diet? I love to hear from ya.... GG
