Sally's beauty suppy makes a generic of nioxin and it is just as good but about half the price. They sell it in sets if you do all three steps and they also sell it in individula bottles. ~Mandy

I am 6 months out and I am just starting to lose my hair...ALOT of hair. I have long hair and when I brush it, it comes out like crazy. I noticed it last week and this week it is even worse. I am freaking out. It has taken me 20 years just to grow it to this length, I just hope it stops soon before I go bald.

My best friend has been banded for 7 months, and has lost 25% of her hair. I spoke to the nutritionist and they said that she and well as myself need to take zinc lozenges. They taste awful, so I may start taking zinc in pill form. Look into it. Good luck.

I've suffered from quite dramatic hair-loss since I was banded a year ago!

I was very fond of my thick, curly locks and they seemed to vanish overnight. (see attached) :heh:

Hi,

I have lost about 25% also and I was a little cocerned .I called my doctor and he expalined to me that it was due to the all the weight and the fat that my body was getting rid of. He said there was nothing I could do about but it, that it would stop when my body gets back to normal . I am 4 moths post op. I am not happy about it, but I rather be thinner than fatter. hair will grow back eventually. I also read in a few places to take

Biotin and to use Nioxin products.

Good Luck to all.

I've been in maintence most of this year and my hair hasn't grown back. I was told it would grow back once i finished losing weight. Pffh! I take in plenty of protien, it seems like permanent Hair loss. I've got a huge bald patch all through the front of my head. I'm only 25. Going to see what I can get done about hair loss treatment.... the doctors have tried everything to help me and i've spent more than $2k already on all kinds of remedys and supplements to no avail. My diet consists of a lot of protien especially red meat since i'm Iron deficient.

I do the comb over - pretty sad eh? It makes it less noticeable and I try not to think about it.

I voted none, but maybe I had increased shedding for a while, its hard to tell since I leave hair everywhere anyway. I shed like crazy normally. I never noticed any thinning at all though, I think I was just paranoid about my normal shedding.

I brought this up before and got ripped by someone on here who said it was because I wasn't eating right. Bugged the heck out of me cause I know I am and taking supplements also. Guess it doesn't happen to all.

Both Docs, nutritionist and my hair salon lady all told me it happens due to the weight loss. Always lost lots of hair before the surgery too. Just don't wanna lose as much as pianoman for sure. Gonna try the stuff everyones talking about on here and we'll see if it helps, or maybe some Elmers glue???

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
