Sorry Kmoore... I got the posts confused I actually meant brittanykins but I still want to add you as a friend if that is ok.

Brittanykins... how was your surgery with Dr. Pirello?

I actually haven't had my surgery yet. I've still got 3 months to spend with the nutritionist before I can get my insurance approval. My meetings with Dr. Pirrello have all gone well so far though.

Hello everyone I'm not in Charlotte but I am in NC....Raleigh. My surgery is scheduled for November 19. Dr Peter Ng at Rex's hospital. I'm nervous too and excited at the same time.

Hey shelleerenee! I'm in Raleigh, too! I was actually sleeved in CLT, though, because I was self-pay so I couldn't afford Rex or Duke. I hope all goes well for you. Have you joined any of the meetup.com WLS support groups? I'm attending my first one this Saturday.

I am meeting with the nutritionist at the end of the month to get started.. How has it been with the nutritionist so far?

Dr Kuwada is doing my surgery as well. I am a little worried because my insurance was approved last week and he doesn't have any dates for surgery available on his calendar. Fingers crossed

I am proud to announce that Dr Kuwada found room for me!!! I am scheduled for Nov. 19th! liquid diet starts Monday! Yaaaayyyyy!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
