I am so glad that you posted! I live in Charlotte but am getting sleeved in Albemarle (at the hospital where I work). I'm having my surgery on Aug. 28. What is your surgery date and who is your surgeon?

Hello,

It is nice to see North Carolina people on the forum. I was sleeved at UNC Chapel Hill on 5/30/2012. Good luck to all the potential sleevers.!!!!!! Make sure you do your research, and are ready for your new outlook on life!!

We should all definately keep in touch and maybe at some point meet. The more support the better. Good luck with your surgery. Who is y our Dr? Where will you have surgery? Best of luck Dawn

Hickory, NC area here

I agree! To all of it! And I feel you NCSleever63 regarding the reseach lol! I think I'm at the point where it's just going to be my personal experience from here on out, since everyone's experience with recovery, how their sleeve behaves post-op, etc, is personal.

I do admit that I get a little nervous at least once a day, but for the most part I'm ready.

Jewel- nice choice of hospitals ;) ! My nephew is a rising senior at Chapel HIll and my cousin is an ER doc at UNC-Chapel Hill hospital.

I am in charlotte too! My surgery is scheduled for august 18th by dr. Alvarez. We are going to be moving to Atlanta but not until next year.

My surgeon is Dr. Bauman at Carolina Weight Loss Surgery here in Concord. I'll be having my surgery at Carolinas Medical Center Northeast.
