  1. Praying for you. No matter what it looks like now, know that TROUBLE DONT LAST ALWAYS! It will get better, I promise!
  2. Hi, I was sleeved on May 31, 2012. That put me at almost 6 months out. My question is should I still be drinking protein shakes? I am logging my food with my fitness pal and seen that I am not getting no where near my daily protein limit. My sample breakfast is coffee with cream and sugar, usually no lunch( I know, I know) and dinner is usually something like a piece of sausage, eggs with cheese. Some days I actually have a appetite and still is not able to get in my protein amounts. I am beginning to worry. I have lost 62 pounds...so I am not complaining, But I dont want to screw myself up long term. Compared to others, my weight loss is slow but I am pleased. I would like to add that when I stopped drinking my morning protein shake(this is usually a 1/2 carnation instant breakfast packet with milk, fiber, and miralax) I started losing weight again Do you think I should still drink them if I dont eat, kinda like a meal replacement? I am confused, and need help! Any tips or suggestions would be great!

    Strech Stomach

I am with you on Doxieville. I dont think it is possible. If you ate that much food, you had to feel miserable....Just calm down, and restart the process...it will work if you let it. Watch your portion sizes, and get back on track...I know you can do it! Stay encouraged...everyone falls but you just have to get back up and try again! Keep us posted on what the doctor in Usa says! Good luck

Thanks Strange fruit...I usually skip meals in the day, while at work to prevent bad decision making, but I think I will take your advice and drink a shake!

    Sowing My Royal Oates!

I would personally take things slow. Let her know what you desire UP FRONT. But the flip side is that you can't be mad if she finds someone else either. :-) Just a chance you got to take. Make sure you are making the right decision, and stick by it! Good luck!

    My Pants Did Not Fit......

Hello family, I will be starting a blog today, and will try to update daily. I was sleeved on May 31th 2012. A few complications, but over all I cant honestly complain. Life is GREAT! I wish I would have did this a long time ago! Well this morning, I woke up late and had to hurry to find something to put on. My sister brought me some Lane Bryant pants last year, size 20...well I went to put them on they were soooo baggy, I had to take them off! I started my journey at 279.00 pounds, I now weigh 226 pounds. After I put the pants on I was walking around, like yeah these will work, until I looked in the mirror....HAAAHHHAAA! Those things looked like I borrowed someone else pants. I know that my weight loss is a little slower compared to others, but I am BLESSED to be losing and NOT GAINING! I walk 2 -3 miles three to four times a week. I feel like I am doing my part...To who ever is reading this, stay encouraged! Even if you are not losing as much as you would like........You got this, and so do I....I would like to be under 200 pounds by the new year! Who is ready! Have a great day and enjoy this journey!!

When Should I Tell My Boss?

Hello, Why do you feel obligated to tell her. I didnt tell mine before or after, neither any one I work with. I did not and still feel like it isnt any of there business. I took my vacation and had my surgery. When invited to lunch at unhealthy places, I opted out. I did not want to leave room for people to talk about me, in the event that the weight did not come off as quick as THEY thought. Do what works for you, but dont feel obligated to tell them your business. Good Luck!

  15. I know this may sound like a crazy question but here goes: Has anyone been keeping a measurement of there sizes and weight. I am asking this because I have lost 44 pounds, but is still wearing the same clothes. I dont think that I have dropped a size yet. Yes my clothes fit a lot baggier, but I am not able to get into a whole other size. Here is my stats: Started out at 279 sleeved on May 31 wore a size 18 Down now to 235 5'4 wearing a size 16 in pants. I am totally confused, I would think that since I lost almost 50 pounds I would have dropped more than one size. Thanks for any help or suggestions you have!
  16. Wow.....thanks to everyone that responded....I really appreciate it. Oh yea thanks for the stats, and the explanations! I can calm down now, continue to do what I am doing, and I will be out of my old clothes in NEW ones! I am just esctatic that I am not GAINING! God is good and worthly to be PRAISED! Lets enjoy the journey!!
  17. Thanks Ladies for your response. @Cindimca4 I walk 2-3 miles a day. This includes alternating with weights on my legs/arms. Thanks for the information....My stomach has shrunk a little. Since you stated it may be Water weight/....what do you mean by that. Oh yeah I have been getting better about getting my water in, Do you think water pills would help? Thanks for any suggestions! Be blessed!

    Stomach Pain

If you think you may be constipated: Try taking some clear souable fiber. This can be mixed in any drink. I also mix in Miralax with 1/2 pack of carnation vanilla sugar free and you cant taste anything. Be blessed!
  19. Hi family. School has justed started back here and yep you guessed it...I have gotten sick. I was sleeved on 5/31 and would like to know if it is something that I can take that actually works! Usually niquil does the job, but I just wanted to be sure. I called the doctors but I am waiting on a returned phone call! Thanks for any information that you can provide.

    Stall Ugh!

Adding in the protein helps a lot. I am 10 weeks out and stopped taking the protein drinks in the morning, I experienced a two week stall and decided to start back. I see the scale is moving(praise the Lord). I was ready to pull my hair out, and I had to remember all that my body is getting adjusted to. Try to keep your cool and stay off the scale. I know it is hard, just remember you are not gaining!!!! Congratulations!
  22. I had the exact same problem. I did not like the option of having to take a laxitive everyday. The fiber is great and works!
  23. I would get some clear soluable fiber with some Miralax. I do this daily and dont have these problems. i mix it with my protein drink in the morning in the blender, and dont taste anything at all. Good Luck I know this is a terrible feeling. But trust me the fiber works!
  24. I am so sorry that you had to experience this. I as well had a very rough time. I was in fact determined that I was totally screwed. You have to remember why you decided to get this in the first place. I know it is rough right now, continue to pray and trust God, He LISTENS AND WILL ANSWER! He did not bring you this far to leave you! You will have a testimony....................Trouble dont last always. I will keep you in my prayers! I think you really need to give your self some healing time, and get some rest. Resting and staying hydrated seems like to most hardest things to do but try your best. Your body needs time to heal, and it sounds like you are a ginue pig...God knows that is how I felt! Keep the faith! You will not have buyers remorse after while!
  25. AWESOME!! You can do this! I am 10 weeks out and have lost 33 pounds. I was gonna get depressed, but I figured what the heck..........I got this and I am losing and not gaining!! Thanks for the encouragement.
