My Pants Did Not Fit......
Hello family, I will be starting a blog today, and will try to update daily. I was sleeved on May 31th 2012. A few complications, but over all I cant honestly complain. Life is GREAT! I wish I would have did this a long time ago! Well this morning, I woke up late and had to hurry to find something to put on. My sister brought me some Lane Bryant pants last year, size 20...well I went to put them on they were soooo baggy, I had to take them off! I started my journey at 279.00 pounds, I now weigh 226 pounds. After I put the pants on I was walking around, like yeah these will work, until I looked in the mirror....HAAAHHHAAA! Those things looked like I borrowed someone else pants. I know that my weight loss is a little slower compared to others, but I am BLESSED to be losing and NOT GAINING! I walk 2 -3 miles three to four times a week. I feel like I am doing my part...To who ever is reading this, stay encouraged! Even if you are not losing as much as you would like........You got this, and so do I....I would like to be under 200 pounds by the new year! Who is ready! Have a great day and enjoy this journey!!

Stall Ugh!
Adding in the protein helps a lot. I am 10 weeks out and stopped taking the protein drinks in the morning, I experienced a two week stall and decided to start back. I see the scale is moving(praise the Lord). I was ready to pull my hair out, and I had to remember all that my body is getting adjusted to. Try to keep your cool and stay off the scale. I know it is hard, just remember you are not gaining!!!! Congratulations!

Stomach Cramps... Tmi Warning!
I had the exact same problem. I did not like the option of having to take a laxitive everyday. The fiber is great and works!

Stomach Cramps... Tmi Warning!
I would get some clear soluable fiber with some Miralax. I do this daily and dont have these problems. i mix it with my protein drink in the morning in the blender, and dont taste anything at all. Good Luck I know this is a terrible feeling. But trust me the fiber works!

Lactose Intolerance After Surgery
I have not. I am not sure of when your surgery was, but just take it slow. Your body is still trying to adjust and adapt. Your stomach could still be swollen, and does not want what you are trying to give it. Things will get better in time! Hope this helps! Good Luck!

Need Help! Losing Faith This Will Work!
Here is the post that I posted when I was in the hospital: was sleeved on 5/30. I am still at the hospital...surgery was fine until i got in the room...got a x ray and it showed no leaks..i kept vomiting every ten minutes it seemed like. The doctor decided the next day on saturday to see what was causing me to continue vomoiting...i had chest pains that felt like gas was being stuck inside..when i woke up i had a feeding tube down my throat continue out of my nose...i just started crying because it was so uncomfortable. With the help of God i made i thru the night I got in the shower and even took morning wall down the hall i sat on my bed and began chocking and gagging on the feeding...it had to be pulled out...im now worried about what is next? The doctor described it as my stomach fluids are causing me to throw up that is why the feeding tube was in place to divrt my fluids down instead of up.i am now having freguent buile movements but is still throwing up even though i havent ate or dranked anything...if i knew i would have had these problems i would have never turned to the sleeve...i am just want this to be all over...can someone please let me know how the got thru this..i dont want any one to see me like this.....i am getting deppressed because i cant see the light at the end of the tunnel...i know this too shall pass..please keep me in your prayers!

Need Help! Losing Faith This Will Work!
Please stay encouraged. I was in a simular situation. My hospital stay went from two days to eight days. During my stay I had to get tubes placed down my throat, and could not eat either. No one knows what the problem was. If I could change I would still get the sleeve. Your stomach is still swollen and needs time to heal. Rest Rest Rest....your body heals the most when you are sleeping(I found this to be true)Trust that trouble does not last always.I prayed and cryed. This is a process but I bet you that when this is all over you will not regret it. Your body just needs to heal. I am 10 weeks out and still throw up at times. Please be patient. Your body will let you know when it can move on. Keep drinks with you at all times to avoid being dehyrated. As a matter of fact, that is all that I was able to do for a while. Keep the faith! It will be ok....Dont get depressed....it is light at the end of the tunnel....trust me...I had first hand experience. Inbox me if you would like to chat sometimes!

One Month Out Drinking Any Fluids
Hello Gang! I have a question, I am almost one month out. I am so tired of taking little sips. I know this is required now because I am just beginning. However I would like to know if I will ever be able to take bigger gulps. I get so thirsty at night when I wake up, taking little sips really frustrate me. I know this may seem a little petty but it really bothers me at times. Thanks for you help and response!!

Week 4-Help Needed!
Hello Gang, Just to bring you up to par. I was sleeved on 5/30. I had a couple of complications such as : vomiting, tubes and lights being placed down my throat etc. I am now doing better with the vomiting. I have a couple of questions. I should be able to eat mushy foods, however I am not able to do so. I tried to eat some mash potatoes, and when they went down, It felt like my stomach was grinding them and it was sorta painful. I tried to eat some soft noodles, they went down ok but a little later they all came back up. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this something that I should be very concerned about? When will I get back to being normal? After what I went thru at the hospital and having to stay 8 days instead of 2, I am really nervous. I try to drink my Protein drinks and Water, but I am never able to finish the entire bottle. I hate the fact that I feel every thing that I drink go down in my stomach. On another note, I have lost 20 pounds. I know this is a lot and quickly considering the fact that I am not able to eat foods. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for all of the prayers that went forth.
