My Nut Cursed Me

Recommended Posts

Yesterday I went and had drain removed. I was averaging 70 grams of Protein and my NUT said to back down to 60. So today they all taste terrible. Guess I will try them again tomorrow. Weird huh? Any suggestions? I'm on full liquid 11 days post op.

Try some new mix-ins like almond milk, soy milk, a bit of banana, powdered Peanut Butter. Dying of curiosity, though: can you have TOO MUCH Protein? Why did she say to back down?

She said she didn't want to overwork my kidneys. I have had good luck with BariWise and nectar until today.

I was doing 80-90 pre-surgery and now I am hitting 55-60 and I'm 5 weeks out. I'm struggling and will probably continue to struggle a little bit. I just hit purees yesterday. Unfortunately, I also have suffered from the omg these shakes suck now syndrome. It gets better and eventually they become more tolerable again.

Good luck to you.

I'm 5 weeks out and still can't stand my shakes I came to like preop. However, to be completely honest, I haven't opened one is awhile. I hope I'm not bald in a few months. :-)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
