I Want My Stomach And My Money Back! (J/k)

Recommended Posts

When you do break the stall' date=' you'll lose a bunch. I did that all through out my weight loss journey. I would plateau for awhile, and then lose 5 lbs in a week, and then go on another plateau.

It will come off. Try not to feel discouraged, because you're right. When you're eating so much less, it has to go down but sometimes not as fast as we want. You'll be losing again soon.[/quote']

Thanks, I am going to continue this journey, I am planning to add some exercise, that will help, I hope!!

Please remember to loose weight you must eat - lesser calories than you are supposed to eat while keep you in a stall as you body goes into starvation mode.

Please don't believe if you starve you will loose it is the farthest thing from the truth.

I don't have any motivational wise words, but I just want to say that I LOVE what you just wrote because I eat more calories PRE op in one meal probably, than you do in a whole day! I can't WAIT for this surgery!!

So what has happened? Have you just given up? You can admit defeat if you chose defeat. You are not winning, you are riding down the sneeky side and not working your sleeve. Remember that it is a tool to use to lose the weight. Don't give up you are worth so much more than this; where you are. Don't you want to meet your goal weight?

Get back to your basics, get a "diet" buddy, join a diet group, pull up those big girl pants and get to it!!! I now that you can, summer is just about here and so are cute sundresses and bikinis!!

Set some major goals for yourself and dive in, you CAN be successful!!

You've lost 2lbs a week, every week, for the last seven months. Doesn't sound like failure to me.

My doctor said you continue to lose weight for 18 months. Everyone loses at a different rate. You can't give up. We all have invested time and money to help us with the weight lost. It doesn't fall off on its own. Join the gym, I started going and I feel so good. Don't give up!

So what have you tried to change up? More calories? Fewer calories? More Protein? A different/more intense exercise regiment? If your truly in a 3 month stall, do SOMETHING different. What does your nutritionist advise?

56 lbs divided by 7 months is 8 lbs average per month which equals to 2 lbs a week.

You may not have lost it that way, but it's still averages out that way.

Give yourself a break. You're losing. You're not losing as fast as you would like, but you're not gaining. If you're eating a lot of carbs, that's the first place to cut, and get in as much exercise as you can. Then just tell yourself you're doing the best you can !

I'm kidding of course.... Just frustrated. I shouldn't be' date=' but I am.

I am 30 days out tomorrow from being sleeved. I've lost a total of 22 lbs post sleeve. My scale hasn't moved in almost 3 weeks though!!!

I have no right to be upset.... Just tired of getting on the scale in hopes of seeing it move in be right direction but it won't! :( I'm doing everything to the letter and I'm beginning to get discouraged. I've been tracking my calories every day... Staying right at or just below my calorie budget. I'm getting a decent amount of fluids in (not quite up to 64 oz yet), AND I've been taking the dogs on nice walks every evening!

I'm not looking for major poundage everyday either.... I would be happy if it was only ounces... As long as it was moving!

(sigh)

I've already had all the rational talks with myself about how I'm only 4 weeks out.... And I need to give my body a chance... Blah Blah Blah... I think its everyone at work who have been my cheerleaders thru all of this whenever they see me asking me how many pounds I've lost.... Its so hard to answer them with the same # as it was 2 weeks ago.

Anyway.... I just needed to get that off of my chest. I need to break this stall one way or another!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
