Decided I wanted some popcorn tonight but I was concerned I'd over eat since its a slider for most, so as soon as it was done popping I grabbed three lunch bags and packed them full, then ate what was left. It wound up being about q cup and a half - next time I make popcorn I'll be breaking out the ziplock!

So when can we eat popcorn after surgery?? I bought a very nice theater-style popcorn machine for my sons bday party... I figured it would be nice to have for family nights together (maybe once a week or so).

I was told around 10-12 weeks after surgery as the hard pieces can get stuck in your incision line. Once you're fully healed then you're good to go.

I can eat about a cup and a half and I'm full. Started eating it at 6 weeks out and did fine.

Gosh, I love popcorn! I started eating it about 8 weeks out and it is definitely a slider food for me. It's in my best interest to step away from it :)

It's what's for dinner. Just watch the oil. I am going to use a teeny bit of that coconut oil everyone is talking about. Smells heavenly. It's supposed to be stable at high heat.

The movie theaters pop their corn in coconut oil. It is one of their dirty little addictive secrets :P

I think popcorn is a healthy choice of slider food. I have slid worse than popcorn. :(

Slider foods are those that just "slide" through the sleeve, not activating the restrictive nature of our new tool. This will sabotage what we are trying to achieve as we will eat more than is good for us. Unfortunately, slider foods don't tend to be Protein shakes and lean chicken, however it is different for everyone.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
