Really Worried And Afraid Of Failure

I am going back to college soon as a sophomore, living in the dorms. I am an RA on campus and have my own room. I will have three weeks after surgery to recover and get back to everyday living at school. BUT we are not allowed to have our own microwave, stove, oven, etc. We have to share the weird, creepy kitchen in the basement. it is going to be incredibly hard for me to make the healthy foods I am supposed to be eating. I understand time management is also key but what am I supposed to do?! Does anyone else have/had this problem? What did you do? I am very afraid I will be stuck and not have the option I would at home. :( please help!

Low sugar protein bars and protein drinks on hand would help you to resist temptation. I would not rely solely on them, but get take out salads with chicken, or .....can you have a mini fridge? you could keep low fat cheese and meat type snacks, OH...those little mini cans of tuna!! no refrigeration required. A minifrige would help you out a lot! Just a few ideas.

Get yours surgeon to write a note stating that in order to maintain the lifestyle you have set up for yourself you will need a small frig and microwave.

Thank you for the good ideas!

Can you have a small crock pot? You can do chicken and lots of other stuff in a crock pot.

I second this. Because of your stomach size you now have different dietary issues. Hopefully, your school will allow what you need especially, if you have a letter of necessity from your surgeon. Good luck to you!

Just bring a microwave anyways! Your the RA, you can't write yourself up! Haha. But in all seriousness I microwave isn't a huge fire hazard like a hot plate is. I'm sure with a dr. Note the rules can be bent
