Hang in there tyvette04. Don't let the current pain fog your thought process. No mistake made. Your future's looking brighter already. Think of something positive or someone that makes you feel good about yourself. I've had several surgeries (motorcycle accidents) and the pain of the accident was worse than the surgery, but that was so long ago I don't even remember the pain. I came out alright, just walk funny! LOL :)

Tell them to give you more pain meds. You shouldn't be in this much pain.

As for regret, that shall pass. You are miserable right now but things will get better. :)

Oh I did! It was awful! I kept on my pain meds and walked a little every few hours. Trust me it will get better. Just think of how awesome you will feel after the weight comes off. I'm now three weeks post op and down about 30 lbs. I don't regret it one bit ( although I did doubt it when I was in your shoes).

You're in the very worst part of the post op pain. Insist on enough pain meds... you don;t need to be a hero, just comfortable. Better living through chemistry, right? :P I'm not trying to be funny at your expense. You will be dramatically better by tomorrow and even better the day after that. Hang in there, you'll be fine.

I am 5 days post op and I concur! Day 3 was like nothing ever happened compared to days 1 & 2!

I felt horrible from the time I got home to about day 3. Now (4 weeks later) I am all back to normal, except the eating part. I am down 25 lbs, give it time and you will not regret. Pop some pain pills. I hope you feel better soon.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
