I hafta say... I'm glad you asked this question! I learned from quite a few ppl's responses. For instance, I didn't know there were microwaveable pork rinds! Awesome!

Let us know how it goes! I've said prayers for you and wish you and easy and thoroughly enjoyable time!

I went to see the Hunger games on day 4... Irony! The 3 other adults and 5 children we dragged with us all feasted on concession stand stuff and I withstood it all. I had a tiny sip of one of the kids Icees. I didn't even really want it.

I was told that popcorn is fine for me after 1 month though, so maybe call your surgeon to see if alittle would hurt? A couple bites? Just don't get your own bag!

Popcorn isn't that bad. We wouldn't want to make a steady diet of it, but to have it as a snack from time to time I think is OK. I had popcorn last week when I saw Titanic. I added no butter or additional salt to the bag. My wife and I shared a sugar free lemonade.

-Popcorn is a whole grain that contains 40 or more nutrients.

-The germ in the popcorn kernel contains all of the B complex Vitamins, plus Vitamin E, Riboflavin and Thiamine.

-Popcorn has more Protein than any other Cereal grain

-Popcorn has more Iron than eggs, peanuts, spinach, or roast beef!

-The hull and outer layers are rich in Iron, phosphorous and Protein.< /span>

-Popcorn has more phosphorous and Fiber than potato chips, ice cream cones, or pretzels

-Popcorn is a calorie counter's delight! Unbuttered popcorn only has between 25 and 55 calories per cup.

I'm 6 weeks out and my sleeve will tolerate anything. I would try a small amount the first time to see if it agrees with you. Ask your doctor or nutritionist how they feel about popcorn.

I think it depends on your doctor and nutritionist. Mine are pretty open about the post sleeve diet. The pretty much told me that I will learn which foods work through trial and error. They were more concerned about what I ate the 1st 8 days out.

I love popcorn. I get the 97% fat free from Kroger then sprinkle on some white cheese powder, only a few calories and some sodium. As long as my Protein is on track I think that's an ok snack.< /p>

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
