I wasn't allowed to have salad until I was 5 to 6 months out.

I did miss it, but I don't eat very much of it. Doesn't always sit

Very well.

Ate some salad this week (6 weeks out) after my Protein and it went down fine and stayed. I had baby spinach and a mix of other baby lettuces with some cherry Tomato and small amount of avocado. :)

salad is my fave!!! BUT all the salads I can buy use iceberg & I really want something different...my fave sushi bar and US pizza both have awesome salads, alas...with iceberg. I guess I have to make my own salad, but I prefer to just buy it.

I just hit my 1 month mark, and I got a salad the other day. I mainly got it for the Turkey and hard boiled egg, but I put some light dressing on and ate some lettuce, cuke, and bell pepper too. It sat fine, no problems.

I'm only 2 weeks out and I am craving cucumbers and tomatoes, what's weird is I have never been a Tomato eater. Now that's all I can concentrate on. I see my Dr Tuesday and I'm planning on asking for a rush on the next step to vegs. I have a trip planned for next weekend to South Lousianna so I hope I can have some crawfish while I'm there. Everything I've tried so far has been tolerated.

I told my surgeon up front that I am a sushi & salad addict, he informed me that sushi is considered the same as salad because of all the fresh veggies, and that I could have it at 6 weeks if I felt comfy with it. I waited until today, I'll be 8 weeks Monday! The sushi chef at my Kroger made me Spring Rolls with Shrimp & he wrapped them in rice paper because I wasn't sure about eating sticky rice...OMG! Great!!! I love them & they are only 190 calories per roll! Whoop! Whoop! They went down great! :)

I can start adding salad in starting Tuesday. I have been craving the seared ahi salad from cheese cake factory. I too have been longing for salad since week 2 but have followed my plan. I don't meet with my NUT until I'm six weeks out. Have my first post surgery followup this Thursday. I hope to God that the scale will start moving again. Have been in the dreaded third week stall.

I really get filled up quick, if I eat sushi. It is the rice. I can have maybe two to three slices.

I wanted to add one more thing abt salad: instead of adding a ton of veggies try to add Protein rich toppings. I add some 2% shredded cheese, sliced almonds, avocado & hard boiled eggs & a lean meat. This usually means I only eat a small bite of greens with each bite but this way you are bulking up your protein intake as opposed to filling up w/ veggies to quickly. Just my 2 cents worth ;)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
