I was sleeved in Germany 6 months ago and I have a friend who has watched me become happier, healthier and slimmer.....she is self-pay so she will have to go it on her own......could have it done in Alaska, Mexico, or Hawaii......can she have this done for $10K or less? Also, any doctor recommendations?

Isntsheclever....where are you in Kansas? I'm about an hour north of Topeka. I meant 12' date='000 no 1200..sorry[/quote']

I live in Lees Summit, MO. But I had my surgery in Topeka. :)

$10,950 total in Ft Worth. Since I have a hernia, insurance will pay, bring my total down to $7,125. Dr. Stowers is performing mine on 4/25

Isn'tsheclever...was it at the Tallgrass Center? That is where I'm going through..Dr. Hamilton but it's being performed at St. Francis hospital. He said since I'm only 5' that I'm a lot shorter then most and don't have as much room in there to move about so they do it at the hospital in case of emergencies. Who was your Dr.?

9,000 with hiatal hernia - looks like I got taken....

Let me clarify: The reason mine is 4300' date=' is becuase I have a hernia: but I do have insurance so my insurance will pay for my hernia but not the weight loss surgery; so my portion to pay will be 4300 and my insurance will pick up the rest.[/quote']

Okay, so you you got a deal....that's not self pay....that's called being blessed....because self pay in Houston is 10,000+ dollars....

Holy cow! I think my hospital took my insurance co. For a ride cause mine was 23,500!! In WV!!

$10k in Vegas through medical tourism.com. Coordinator was Hazel - she was awesome!!!

No JP drain here either, Lynn. No staples, either, just glue. I was lucky!

12' date='900 in Michigan..one night stay.[/quote']

Please tell me information about your doctor

Wow fluffy, if your insurance co was taken for a ride, mine was downright swindled! $50,000 here!!!

Yes, it was at Tallgrass, with Dr. Bernsten. My grandpa had the band, and he had to have it done at St Francis. I don't know who his doctor was...

@isntsheclever and @welittle I'm in Topeka and having mine done (eventually) at Tallgrass too. My surgeon I Dr. Hu. @welittle where north are you? My husband grew up about an hour north (ish) of topeka in fairview...
