Next Week Sleevers ? Or Anyone Whom Are Upcoming April Sleevers?

I am back full force. I am able to have my surgery next week!!! YAYAY!! The class that is due before surgery, well they my doctor is allowing me to take it one week after my surgery. I was so upset when they told me it was a possiblity that I woul have to reschedule. I prayed about it over this past weekend and made up my mind that if it was meant then it will be. Anyway, how are you all that are being sleeved next week? How are you feeling? Is reality sinking in? Any doubts before next week? How are your pre op diets, has any of you slipped up? ARE U READY FOR THIS NEW CHANGE THAT IS ABOUT TO TAKE PLACE??? Please weigh in and share your thoughts and emotions...

Ok Im back!! Day 2 Post-Op. I couldn't post yesterday because I was so sleepy and the gas pain was HORRIFIC!! but its so much better today, i'm already feeling pretty good. just kinda sore sipping these liquids i think i might try warm liquids in a bit... but so far so good guys. WE'RE ALL GOIING TO MAKE IT!!

Way to go Stacie! I am also sleeving Monday' date=' 4/23 at 11am in Charlotte, NC. Here is a tip: Isopure drinks from GNC work well in jello, just use it in lieu of the cup of cold water.....mix and match the flavors to add protein to jello for that first week, could also use Gatorade 3 which has protein ;)[/quote']

That's a great idea! I don't know if I can find a gnc today. Hmmm. I'm on all clear liquids today and starving. We are out at the zoo and of course they have no jello or broth. LOL. My parents really have me second guessing the surgery. They are fully against this and think I'm being irresponsible by taking such an "unnecessary" risk. I'm really in a bad place at the moment.

April 24 here, I'm excited and just a wee bit nervous. I just weighed myself, WOW Ive lost 16 pounds!! I reached my pre op goal of being 210!!

Now anything else until Tuesday is just a bonus!

It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, I thought for sure I would faint from lack of food at work, but I hung in there. On a few days while working, I only had time to drink one shake and sip some water!! I'm a charge nurse and have been very short staffed, so short in fact, my boss, the DON asked me a week before my LOA if I could postpone my surgery!! I was like is this a late April fool's joke, cause it ain't funnyI said, uh no sorry Im leaving see you in 3 weeks! Sheesh, I just pray all is well for them, but now, it's my time to take care of me!

I am getting excited!!! I am scheduled tomorrow at 3:30 pm. The pre-op diet is going well. I am having a hard time getting in all 40 grams of protein. I am just not that hungry. I am nervous about tomorrow though. No water or anything after 8 am. I live on water. I wish every luck that is scheduled for the rest of the month.

I know we can do it!! It is a tool to help us with the rest of our lives :D

Good luck to all that are having their surgery tomorrow.

I'm scheduled for 10 tomorrow and am surprised how calm I am. Last week I was in a panic; this week cool and calm. Best of luck to all of you. We will be just fine. It will be interesting to share our experiences after the fact.

Good luck to everyone. My mom just got here and said that I need to change my mind and that I have not really thought this through. The last thing I need tonight (hospital at 530) is this stress, worry, and negativity. I'm so stressed.

We are here to support you. Mothers don't always know what's best for us and they have a way of getting to us.

KayBaby.....I live in Monroe and I'm getting sleeved Tuesday 4/24 at Presby Matthews. You're the 1st person I've found on here that lives close to my area. Who is your doctor?
