  2. I was sleeved in Mexico, make sure you hide your money. I had money taken from my overnight bag while I was in surgery:-(
  3. My dietitian explained this in a way that was easier for me to unerstand. The answer is no you will not be able to drink and eat at the same time. So our new stomach hold abou 2 ounces of stuff and if you drink and eat at the same time you will not be getting the food you need.
  4. I had the same problem, I am almost at 4 weeks. Each night I am so tired go to be around 10 but wake up at midnight. I too started using Ambein and it's lights out!

  6. I can totally relate to wanting to just chug a beverage. I think that is a sign of dehydration. If you continue to sip all day the need to chug feelings lessens. I will not say goes away completely but it does get better. Apple juice makes me less thursty but remember it also does nothing for our body, other than taste good.
  7. No gum, they say it puts air in your sleeve and can stretch it. Think of a balloon that gets blown up and let the air out repeatedly. I too have kids and they were eating all kinds of stuff I could not, trust me over time it will get easier.
  8. I am 4 weeks out and get that sometimes still. Only now it feels like I did a million crunches. It usually happens after I over do my day, cleaning, laundry, shopping. Like you mentioned it is not keel over pain, just annoying:-)
  9. The mind can do some mean things to us and missing your old food is one of them. Just think, it has been years that we run to chocolate cake and lovely carbs, but just as our journey begins we must let go of the past. We all risked our lives for a surgery, why on earth would we put toxic things back into our body? Miss your old food friends, but don't plan your reunion of when you can eat them again. Get excited about preparing healthy meals, losing weight, gaining control over head hunger. It is not always easy, I almost cried the other day for hot warm bread. But the moment passed eventually and I was very proud I did not visit that old friend bread:-) Hang in there and your feelings are very normal.
  10. I bought a couple of the meat baby foods, plan on adding some salt, pepper, and light mayo. I will let you all know tomorrow:-)
  11. This is awesome! Enjoy being 40 pounds lighter!
  12. thanks everyone, I made an appointment with a dietitian tomorrow!
  13. I did read about the 3week stall but did not think it was going to happen to me since so much was coming off. To say I don't like it would be an understatement
  14. I sure hope I a not taking over a topic, but for some reason I don't know how to start a topice of my own. So please forgive me if I should not have posted here. I am 3 week post op and feeling very sad. I was losing weight daily up until the 3rd week.. Now 2 days have gone by with not an ounce off:-( I am feeling so discouraged I have been thinking of purposfully vomiting after my meals. How long can a staff last?
  15. I was sleeved on April 16th. I too have a hard time getting in my protein. A 12 oz protein shake takes about 3 hours to finish. I am sure once the stomach heals I will be able to drink faster, but in the meantime any ideas on how to get in all our protein?
