Im at the pureed stage starting Monday for 2 weeks. I have refried beans, mashed potatoes, egg whites, cottage cheese, yogurt, etc...baby food seems the easier option( im a grab and go type person)..what flavors are half decent?

Any of the fruit is good. Also they have combo flavors like mac n cheese and sweet potatos, chicken noodle, chicken rice peas, those are all okay. I dont think I could do the just meat. Yuck!!!

Thanks..I got alot of the fruit ones and some vegetables..I bought 1 can with meat which will probably end up in the garbage

I bought a couple of the meat baby foods, plan on adding some salt, pepper, and light mayo. I will let you all know tomorrow:-)

and can you tell me how much protein is in a jar of baby food meat?

I bought some 2.5 oz jars of the baby food meat. I haven't tried as surgery isn't until 5/21. The small jar has 8-10 protein.

Personally, I thought the baby food was gross. There was only one flavor I could stand, I think it was chicken tetrazini. The fruits are okay (I actually buy the bananas as a snack and have done this for my entire life!). During your soft stage I really say greek yogurt is the way to go. You can add sugar free puddings to it to give it a nice flavor. I don't do the flavored greek yogurts because they are lower in protein and way higher in sugar. Good luck!
