Next Week Sleevers ? Or Anyone Whom Are Upcoming April Sleevers?
I am back full force. I am able to have my surgery next week!!! YAYAY!! The class that is due before surgery, well they my doctor is allowing me to take it one week after my surgery. I was so upset when they told me it was a possiblity that I woul have to reschedule. I prayed about it over this past weekend and made up my mind that if it was meant then it will be. Anyway, how are you all that are being sleeved next week? How are you feeling? Is reality sinking in? Any doubts before next week? How are your pre op diets, has any of you slipped up? ARE U READY FOR THIS NEW CHANGE THAT IS ABOUT TO TAKE PLACE??? Please weigh in and share your thoughts and emotions...

New To Be Sleeved
Welcome to your new forum family. I am being sleeved on Monday. I have read several different time frames. If you go under the pre-op heading on this sight and go thru the topics, you will find a topic on how long different people took off work. My doctor gave me a month off. I doubt if I use all of that time, but it was good to have it on hand!

Full Of Fustration And Struggling
Well forum family, I woke up this am and checked my voicemail. The NUT from my office called and said that I did not take the 2nd Nutrition class and my surgery may have to get postponed. I totally forgot all about the class with working and dealing with my ill grandmother. I have already started my liver shrink diet and have already taken off work. The thing about work is that our schedule comes out every six weeks. So if I have to wait until then to put more days in, I will have to wait until early June...OMG!!! The diet alone has been a struggle. I have seen as of today how much food affects me. During this process, I did not know how bad it was until starting this process. Anyway, keep me in your thoughts. I will not know anything until Monday. So upset right now!!

Finally Deciding To "do It"
Hey Melaniek. Welcome to the forum. I am 32 and have been struggling with mines for the last 10 yrs maybe. This is actually my 2nd attempt to surgery. My first one was 2 yrs ago, while trying to do the lap band. I bagged out at the end of my 6 months cus I too thought that I could do it on my own. I was then 230 to 240. After the two years passed by, my weight soared to the highest ever..290. As the weight continued, someone told me about the sleeve and I to began researching it and fell in love with wanting to take back control over myself and do something about the situation. In my research, I found this forum. Didnt join at first. I was so moved and touched by the openness that everyone endured for one another. I loved the fact that I could read posts of people that were feeling what I was feeling and were so so honest about thier feelings. I have never been the one to join social networks. I dont even have a facebook page but I have fallen obessed with checking into this forum SEVERAL times a day. I want to read what others are going through and be a comfort to and for someone who feelings what I have felt or am feeling. I want to say again welcome. You are headed in your new direction and have found a new family to join along with you

What Are Some Things You Can't Wait For Once You Loose Weight?
SOOO MANY THINGS!! But to be short, I can not wait to look in the mirror and not see the "fat girl" staring back at me. I can not wait to go shopping and like the outfits I try on and feel comfortable in them...to not feel like all the kids are staring at me when I go to my kids school..I can not wait to walk long distances and not feel like I am about to pass out...the list goes on and on
