Congrats to you and your new journey!!! My date is April 16th

Hello forum family. it has been some time since I last checked in. I under went breast reduction surgery and was down for awhile. I hope all is well with you all. Well, If anyone out there have read my previous post, I was denied and had insurance issues. I now have a date and I am soooooo excited My date is April 16th. I am so ready for this new journey. If there is anyone who shares this sleeve month with me, please let me know. Or if there are others whom have a date coming..congrats to you on your new journey.

Well forum family I was denied. You can imagine the feeling I felt once I found out. No, I did not go on an eating spree but my feelings were very hurt. The program manager said that she was going to call me after the holiday weekend to see what we will do next, so I will keep you up dated. For one my insurance ends on 12-31-11 and my job will be picking up a new one on 1-1-12. They denied me over the craziest thing. They do cover it but am wondering if they denied me because of the end of the year issue, so that they do not have to pay for it, knowing that they will no longer have me at the end of the year. So I am not going to give up. I need this sleeve and I will continue to do everything I need to do in order to get it. Keep me in your thoughts...wanted to keep you updated...if anyone else has been deinied please share your experience. We are in this thing together. I am asking for all shoulders to lean on right now!! :cry_smile:

Its gonna be okay. There is nothing wrong with venting. That is what we are here for. Be patient, eveything is goona be okay and work itself out!!

Your not alone. Before this pre op journey. I knew I was "fat" lol..but i didnt let it get to me as much. Now that I have been through the cycle of stepping on the scale, I feel, look, and am very very aware that I am fat!!! lol Oh my clothes.. I need a new wardrobe!! I went to church on yesterday and felt tight!lololol I am laughing to keep from crying. I can not believe that I allowed myself to get this big. So no forum sister, you are not alone. We are all feeling the same way. But guess what. Next summer we can post our cute pics and show our inner confidence.

Hey forum family.. Has anyone close to you act as though they were not supportive in your weight loss decision? I guess I am having a hard time with it because my best friend and I (or should I rethink her being my best friend!!!) have been friends for 19 years. I have shared with her my thoughts on having surgery and she does not agree. Now I am my own woman, therefore, I would NEVER change my mind about it based on how she feels.it is just shocking to know that I do not have her support. Now my friend is over weight, has always been. My weight gain started within the last 6 yrs. It leads me to believe that she may be somewhat jealous. I dont want to think this way but I really have no other choice. Please share your input and/or thoughts.

I found out that I have this as well. Waiting to get into the GI specailist now..I heard that the pills are huge. I am sorry that you are taking them after ur surgery. Keep me posted

Hey forum family. Well everything is complete on my end. Everything has been sent into the insurance. I am currently awaiting my approval. Please keep me, along with everyone else who is awaiting, in your thoughts and prayers. I was told by my office that I should know something by the end of next week or the following week. I am keeping my fingers crossed!!! Thanks in Advance
