I hear you. . . I feel the same way, I have to do this for my kids! I have my pre-op appt tomorrow, hope to have my surgery soon, I am ready to get the worst part over with.

That's great... I hope your appt goes great tomorrow and you get a surgery date. I am also really afraid that after i have this done i will crave foods and have a really hard time dealing w not being able to eat as much as i want... If that makes sense haha

So, my surgery is scheduled for March 28th. But, I am not sure if I am having the sleeve or gastric bypass now. I went in to my appointment all geared up for the sleeve, my surgeon said since I have significant GERD that the sleeve may make it worse. He said that he would still do the sleeve for me if that is what I choose, so I have to make my decision before March 16 - my pre- op appointment. Hmmmmm. . . what to do.

Oh gosh, that's a hard decision. I am in no way an expert on any of it but bypass scares me. Which one does your Dr recommend you get? I hope whichever you decide, you get great results!

He basically said that gastric bypass is the "gold standard" and that I will lose more weight with this surgery. But, I have to say that he didn't pressure me one way or another. He says he will do either surgery for me, which is cool, but scary at the same time. I am not sure if I am I am readynfor bypass. . .

I don't like that they re route the intestine... Just freaks me out... If you don't mind me asking how much do u need to lose?

Surgeon says I am 90 pounds from my ideal weight of 122, I am 5'4" weigh 211. I have never weighed 122!

We are pretty close... Im 5'5" 250... Dr said i could lose 100 lbs by 12 months... I haven't weighed that since i was about 13... kinda freaks me out lol
