  1. As long as you're mindful of what you're taking into your body, and focus on protein first, you'll be shocked at how fast the weight comes off of us big guys.
  2. I would imagine your loss rate would depend on how far you have to go, as well as how you stick to your diet and what exercise you do.. That said, Don't know if my situation is the norm, but I lost about 175 lbs in the first 6 months with minimal exercise, and I had about 240 to lose.
  3. Hahha... no worries, all good
  4. That's where the "11 month" part comes in
  5. Happy 11 month surgiversary, 9/20'ers. Just keeps getting better every day
  6. I actually go to two... 1 at Memorial and 1 at St. Vincent's (formerly St. Lukes). I was sleeved with Novus right before they broke up, and my nutritionist went to St. Vincent's, my surgeon and a couple of the Novus employees went to Memorial. I like them both and both are open to anyone who wants to attend, regardless of where you had your surgery. St. Vincents is the first Monday of every month and Memorial is the 2nd Monday.
  7. Good work Panda! Hate to hear about the lactose intolerance, but glad to hear you're doing well besides that! I'm sure you'll be where you want to be in no time.
  8. Wishes, you look fantastic. Congrats on your transformation!
  9. Happy 8 to you as well! You look fantastic, and more importantly you look happy! I'm glad to see you're doing so well. I'm still drinking 1, at least 1, Protein shake per day as well, and I think I will for the foreseeable future. It's a great way to get protein and it's a good quick Breakfast for me. For exercise I would love to play tennis, but my knees, well one of them for sure, are still pretty mad at me for the abuse of the last 15 years. That's all rounding into shape though. I hope to hit 200 lbs off within the next few weeks. With the exception of the knee, I couldn't be more happy with where I am now. I've been to concerts, sporting events, the beach, played rounds of golf... all stuff I couldn't do, or at least could barely manage before. It's a great new world out here . So what beach were you at in February?
  10. Happy belated 7 months, 9/20'ers!
  11. Nice work! I eat on a schedule as well... I have to or I'd never eat, since I no longer get hungry. I have a question though... my nut said the body cannot process more than 30g of protein at one time, and the extra is just disposed of by the body. She told me to spread the protein around so that you get a protein throughout the say, so I eat 5 small meals per day, and usually end up with 80-90g of protein on the day. Is my nut wrong about the protein?
  12. Wow! It's hard to tell the photos are of the same person! You look great, and more importantly you look happy.
  13. Hey Panda! I'm shocked at how well it's gone, and I can't believe I only have 69 lbs to go. You're right with me though, only 81 for you! Amazing how quickly this 6 months has gone by. Hope you all are doing well... keep at it and we'll all be there in no time... like Ter pretty much already is, haha.
  14. I waited for 3 months and have had no issue. I probably drink once per week now. It doesn't seem to have slowed my weight loss down at all.
  15. Hey Ter! Glad to hear you're doing well. I'm still doing at least 1 protein shake a day as well, and still can't eat much volume as far as chicken. I do ok with Steak. Sorry to hear about your hair... thankfully I haven't had to deal with that. Of course, I wasn't blessed with flowing locks in the first place, hahaha. Keep at it!
