I've lost 75% of my personal goal and nearer 90% of my surgeon's... that being said, I am not at goal yet! 9 lbs off my surgeon's and 20lbs from my personal goal!

You take what your "normal" BMI / weight should be ( for me @ 5'2" it is 110-135 depending on which table you choose) & subtract that from what you weighed pre-op. So for me, I weighed 220 pre-op minus 120=100 pounds of excess weight. I was told I could expect to lose 56-60 pounds & I hope they are wrong. So far I have lost 26 pounds at 4 weeks which is 26%.

Thanks for the responds! Everyone seems to be doing great!Congrats to everyone I can't wait to join you. My Dr tells me his practice average between 75-83% loss for his sleeve patients. Here's hoping....I know everyone is different

I've lost about 80% of my excess weight (to my stretch goal) and almost half my total body weight so far. Still going and I'm going to try to lose another 20-40 lbs. So it gets harder the closer you get to goal, but it seems to have a lot to do with your practices as to how far you get. Not for everyone I'm sure, but for many that seems the case.

I'm a month out from surgery, and I've lost 25% of my excess body weight. I know it will slow down between the 3rd and 4th month, but I'll take advantage while I can.

Almost 100% excess weight. Hard to believe! I am very strict about Protein first and no drinking when eating and I really think those simple rules have gotten me this far. They are really easy for me to follow.

90% at almost a year out... But that is with my ideal weight being at 150 which I think is way to thin for someone my height.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
