Loosing Too Much Weight?

Loosing Too Much Weight?
I do not drink anything carbonated at all. I stick to water and unsweetened tea. The surgery made me lactose intolerant so anything with milk is out. I still get sick alot and mainly breakfast food seems to do it. I eat alot of steak and chicken as my main meals and I stick to the protein first rule. I do not drink with my meals I wait at least half an hour or it also tends to make me sick, I do not do protein drinks anymore... Yuk! As for snacking I stick to things like granola bars .

Loosing Too Much Weight?
Ok I have a question I never thought I'd ask.... Has anyone else felt like the weight loss isn't gonna stop? I met my goal months ago and I'll be a year out next month but all of a sudden I'm loosing again? I don't want to lose anymore I'm already 5lbs below my goal and I eat all the time! Seriously I'm eating every two hours because I just get hungry that fast... Has anyone else felt this way or am I alone out here?

Getting Pissed Off!
Ok... Stop and take a breath... How far out are you? I was pretty upset when I was about 2 weeks out as I had gone out to eat with my family and was still on liquids. It was a stupid idea and I cried through most of dinner. Now I go out to eat with my family every weekend I always order a kids meal of like steak or grilled chicken. I normally can not finish the whole thing. As for your full feeling try and eat slow and chew really well... I actual will hiccup and that's how I know I'm full but it didn't start happening till I was a little farther out... Maybe a month or two. I am 8 months out and I eat pretty much anything I want at this point. I am in my goal range and I have lost 100lbs since my sleeve in October 140lbs all together. I felt the same way in the beginning about how little I could eat, but I wouldn't change anything now. Good luck and you will be able to eat a bit more as the swelling goes down. Smiles!

Questions For Those Before Me!
Hi I'm almost 6 months out and down 85lbs. I think surgery was about two hours but I had a hernia repair as well. I pretty much slept in the recovery room but I was pretty with it once I made it to my room. I think I stayed in recovery about two hours. I was walking the halls not long after I made it too my room. I'd say by about a half hour or so after I was there and settled I was walking. I didn't have PCOS so I can't help you with that one... Sorry. Pain.....I didn't really think it was all that bad but my nurses were great with my meds. When I got home I found it really hard to sleep in bed so I slept in the recliner for about two weeks. Id say the most pain I had once home was when I'd go to the bathroom..., getting up and down when your tummy was sore was hard but I was sent home with pain meds and felt much better by two weeks out. I went back to work at three weeks out. Good Luck it really is not as bad as you think it is going to be. Amanda

5 Months Post Op With Pics!
I really want to thank everyone for their wonderful comments! It really makes a girl feel good. For those of you getting closer to your sleeve dates... I was totally nervous too but it was by far one of the best decisions I have ever made and I would do it again tomorrow and if I can do it you guys can too, just stick to your Dr's diet plan and try your best to drink as much water as possible the first few days home from the hospital and don't let the stalls get you down they happen to everybody. Good luck everyone and I can't wait to see your pics soon as well! Amanda

5 Months Post Op With Pics!
@Wheetsin... I do still use one protein shot 27g a day it was reccomended by my dr. I can't stand all the shakes and stuff. I assume I'll continue to do this until I make it to goal and need to readjust things. The goal weight I picked is actually still in the overweight category for my height but I don't care. I was 173 before I had my son almost 11 years ago and much less than that and I'll look sick. I'm sure I'll see the difference in time... I had a realization today... My work is ordering everyone really nice pullover shirts with the company logo on them and my best friend and I ordered the same size and I was like huh it took me a minute to process that one. Is your surgery scheduled yet?

5 Months Post Op With Pics!
Ok so when I started I was 315lbs....I am now down to 198lbs with 28lbs to go till I make my goal and I am 5' 9". Some of my latest NSV's are.... Some of my old shoes fit again... Some of my old clothes from High School fit again... The bath towel goes all the way around me... My lab coat at work has gone from a 3X to a M... I can cross my legs so easily now... I can wear clothes in the juniors department... I can wear things from Victoria's Secret.... Goodbye Lane Bryant and Avenue..... Some of my struggles are..... Getting 70g of protein a day it is more like 50-60g... Drinking enough water... Dying for a coke from Mcdonalds... I cant' see the weight loss in myself/ mirror... (This is my big one) I still feel larger than everyone around me... Thanks for reading..... Amanda

Pureed Stage
My nut said Wendy's chili is a really good choice and I always put it in the blender since I was in the purée stage. Purée stage was once explained to me as something you could suck through a straw. Amanda

Pureed Stage
My favorite was Wendy's chili...put in the blender of course. It tastes wonderful when all you've had for two weeks is liquid. LOL

Diarrea After Every Meal, Please Help!
I agree with the previous post... I didn't figure out I was lactose intolerant until I was three months out. Once I stopped with all the milk based products I haven't had a problem. Good luck! Amanda

Birth Control
I just got the Mirena in December and I am very happy with it. I don't have to take a pill everyday, and it is more effective than the pill. I haven't seen a difference in my weight loss either. I was sleeved in Oct of last year. Best part is about six months after getting it you stop having a period! How great is that! I was on yaz before surgery and I think it was not helping with the weight problem and it gave me horrible acne. I am lovin my mirena. Amanda
