I am on my 3 day liquid pre-op diet. Surgery in 2 days. It is going well, 3.6lbs lost in just 1 day!

But man I am craving a bacon cheeseburger something bad... and some hot french fries dipped in mayo!

Just something to bite & chew on!!!!

But keep telling myself this is all worth it & trying to be good.

I caved today though & had one of the kids popcorn fish balls.

I have no willpower, it is so bad. Ugh.

Way to go! Stay strong! I lost 19 pounds in a week and a day, so the liquid diet does work. Keep us updated after the surgery!

Pre op diet sucks! Down 7#s but it's been so hard :/... I've cheated a few times. Protien shakes, veggies, 3Oz lean meat and small fruit have not been cutting it. But I'm going in these last 3 days with no meat... Hopefully I go down 4 or 5 more pounds. Please pray for me and I'll do the same for you all too. May 11th will be the day my life changes for the better :)

Thanks. You gave me an idea: sucking the BBQ sauce off of a rib. huh? I might have to do that after surgery. BBQ and movie popcorn are two things I will go to my grave eating, just not a lot after May 14.

it's okay you'll be able to get through it! I was at a restaurant today and had nothing but water! I think all my willpower came from losing 7 pounds since Sunday on this clear liquid diet. it's crazy how you can lose weight like this but it's obviously not realistic lol. great job today and we're almost there!!!!

Pre-op diet has been a little tough. Even more so because I leave tomorrow for Mexico and I have been doing my bowel prep. WARNING GROSS... Who knew you could poo so much when all I have had to eat is Jello. I had lost almost 10 pounds when I weighed in Tuesday morning. I am sure when I get up in 5 hours I will have lost more. That is if I get to fall asleep. I keep getting up to go to the bathroom. It is worth it.. it is worth it!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
