I had my surgery on march 1st so I'm almost 2 weeks post up. I have lost 15 lbs since surgery and 50 since I started on my weight loss journey in Jan 2011. When I went back to class from spring break someone said to me "Wow ur face is really slimming up" and I've also been getting so many compliments from ppl I haven't seen. I can slowly see the change in my face and body and I'm just super excited.

Those little things, like comments from ppl or a glance in the mirror as you pass by feel soo good!

Throughout the day I genuinely feel just more happy overall. I'm so glad I took this journey and even though it's just the start it feels so good.

Just wanted to share. You guys are so inspirational and uplifting for me :)

That's awesome! Congrats on the incredible weight loss!! It must feel great for people to notice after all your hard work. I haven't had my surgery yet (2 more days!) but I can't wait to start seeing a difference. Keep us updated!

I understand about the little things...I'm 3 weeks post-op and I've lost 30 lbs. I'm 268 now, so the loss is only obvious to me & those closest to me. When I pass a mirror, I have to peek at me! I can see my "new" face emerging. I've lost some puffiness in my face and I love it! Also, the fat roll in my neck is gone bye-bye!!!! Yay!!!

Those little things are actually big things! Congrats! One of my students, 7 yrs old, said, "Ms. ------, it looks like you've been losin' pounds!" I gave him the biggest hug because I know his comment was heart felt and honest. It just made me smile for days :).

So CUTE!! You've been losin pounds! I Love it!

My little things have been things like...crossing my legs, buckling my shoes and still being able to breathe! having wiggle room in stadium seating, removing a link off of my watch, wearing heels again!! For you newly post-ops, the best is yet to come! It is soooo amazing to see and feel these changes happening right before your eyes. Almost too fast, my head still hasn't caught up to it yet. i'm going broke because I keep dropping sizes!

It is the little comments that keep you going.

I have now lost 100 pounds, and people can really see the difference now. I went to see my surgeon today for a follow up and he did not recognise me this morning. It is a weird feeling eh.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
