One tip to keep your shakes cold. I have these ice cubes that are basically plastic and u freeze them they keep drinks cold after 2-3 hours being out the fridge and they dont water down your drinks. I got mine at Rite Aid pharmacy but I think they also have them at Wal Mart too

I know the first has eggs but maybe u haven't had them like this before

The name of the game here is layering. Read on and see
Spray an 8x8 square pan with Pam or any other nonstick spray, and pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees.
Pour 1/4 of the egg whites (don't need to be exact here) and place one layer of canadian bacon at the bottom of the pan. Sprinkle about 1/4 of the oats (so, 1/4 c.), and put this mixture in the oven for 10 minutes.
Remove the pan from the oven and add another layer of egg whites, then 1/4 c. oats, then a layer of canadian bacon, then another 1/4 c. oats. Put this mixture in the oven for about 15 minutes, keeping an eye on it, and adding the next layer when this one is no longer liquidy, but not cooked all the way through.
Remove the pan from the oven, add the rest of the oats, then the rest of the egg whites, then place a layer of canadian bacon on the top. Put it back in the oven until the top is firm, if you stick a fork in the middle it should come out clean (like a cake). The top will get a little brown.
When it's done, cut it in four pieces. I re-heat these to take on the go by placing them in the oven at 350 on a piece of tin foil for about 15 minutes. When I'm ready to leave the house, I take it out of the oven, sprinkle a little sea salt on top, and wrap it up in the foil to take it to go!
Another option for re-heating is to place a piece of cheddar cheese on top (or even in the middle, like a sandwich!). Yum!

    Directions
Use the turkey as your shell and put the cheese inside along with the cream cheese. Fold it in half and stick on a hot fry pan, only a minute or so on each side as the cheese will melt quickly!
Garnish with some salsa if desired!

I want to try this one but I haven't yet. I won't make my own sauce. I'm going to just buy a jar of pizza sauce and use reduced fat cheese. If you try this recipe let me know how it turns out.

mix it at room temp,,if the liquid is too hot,,it will clump. You can also use a wisk,,that helps as well as a shake cup that has the spring ball in it that is for mixing really well.

I've been on a clear liquid diet longer than most due to a leak and abscess. This site, some wonderful peops suggested to me Isopure protein ready to drink (RTD) bottles. I haven't found one that I like yet. However, the lady at Vitamin Shoppe was a bodybuilder and suggested this other clear liquid protein to me.... it's wonderful! It's called Cytomax Pure Protein Performance and they have three flavors: watermelon (red), tangerine (orange) and tropical (green). I haven't had the watermelon yet, but the other two are a bit tart at first.... but I really am enjoying them. I put them in a huge mug with ice and sip sip sip throughout the day. They have 40 g of protein per 20 oz bottles and nothing else is in the drink (essentially... a bit of sucralose perhaps). They are made of whey protein isolate (which is the second ingredient behind purified water). I got mine from Vitamin Shoppe but I have seen them online to order as well. Hope you enjoy!

This is a recipe for my homemade whipped Shea butter. Shea butter is used to even skin tone and moisturize. The other oils have many apparent qualities.
    8 oz unrefined Shea butter
    2 tbspns coconut oil
    1 tbspn jojoba oil
    1 tbspn Vitamin E oil
    1 tbspn bio oil (optional)
Everything should be room temp. First whip the shea butter with blender till its soft no lumps. Then add in the oils and whip till light and fluffy.
Now enjoy. I put this all over right when I get out the shower, best thing is it lasts alllllll day long. By nighttime my skin is still soft !
    Enjoy

I replied to another post with this but thought others might find this useful also.
I'm almost 4 months post op.
I hate drinking Water but i force myself to drink 1, 16.9oz bottle every day. Then i drink the rest in Protein shake, decaff tea or crystal light.
Protein is so important so you dont lose muscle.
I drink for Breakfast every morning
1 scoop of chocolate Supreme 100% casein,
    1 scoop of lIsopure
mixed with 10oz of cold water using a Blender Bottle.
That right there is 50grams of protein.
On days that i exercise i also eat a Quest Protein Bar which is 20grams of protein, thats 70 out of the 80 my Dr recommends.
So 10oz of water in my breakfast shake @ 8am
16.9oz of plain water before 11:30am when i eat lunch
16.9oz of decaff tea at 2:30-3pm finished by 4:30pm.
Protein bar snack on the way home from work at 5pm.
Exercise about 6pm for 30mins drinking about 8oz of water mixed with dinner about 7pm
    Finish drinking last 12oz of water/decaff tea/crystal light between 8pm & 10:30pm
Now on days that I dont exercise I make up for the lack of the protein bar by eating more meats for lunch and dinner.
Hope this helps give you an idea of how to keep up with your protein and water.
Oh yea and at least 8 hours of sleep. I think i've finally had a light bulb go off and figured out when i get less than that my weight loss slows and stalls.

I did it! I broke through that ONE-derland door!! And it was on my two month surgiversary this past Friday. I had not been under 200 since the end of 2006. I have lost a total of 40.5 lbs. (that includes 10 lbs on pre-op) and feel amazing. I can't say enough great things about the sleeve and my new way of life. What a blessing!

I am desperately trying to research this little Devil known as food Cravings - AKA Head Hunger. Man, it sucks sometimes!! Especially being a woman, and TOM... it will throw me off track faster than a tiny rock in front of a train.
I'm finding I have been thinking deep about a certain craving I'll have and wondering what it all means. Why am I craving a certain food, when and how? I'm starting to realize that perhaps our bodies really tell us something when we are craving healthier versions of food. Such as, I'd been craving a lot of beef in the last month or so. Be honest, I've never really been a huge fan of it, but just lately I can't seem to get enough. I began to wonder if maybe my Iron might have been too low. I've battled anemia my whole life, and I did notice a lot of fatigue lately. That's not really like me, really, and considering I can only consume so much food at one time it was a great possibility.
Well with my last panel come to find out that absolutely yes, my iron WAS below normal. I was always able to keep it around borderline or just above. This time it WAS below the marker. So, it's true or maybe I'm imagining it that the craving for beef was my brain telling me I needed to up my iron. It makes perfect sense to me.
However... what about chocolate or sugar cravings? Do our bodies ever really require chocolate? Yes, our bodies DO need sugar - not nearly as much as we might consume, but we do need it. I'm positive I probably STILL eat more than I need, so why do I crave more? This article really goes in depth with that subject, and just as I'd suspected for the longest time... our bodies absolutely DO become addicted to it, just like a drug addict. It fills our brains with dopamine and triggers that euphoric response. What to do? We MUST eat sugar, we NEED it. Ugghhh... anyway, I'm just tinkering with all of this knowledge to better help understand my brain, body and all it's chemical functions. I'm hopeful that with all this knowing, it can possibly help me to better avoid giving in to those demands. *lol*

ETA: It also stinks that men have an advantage over us ladies when it comes to this. They have far less instances of this!! If I ever wanted to be a man, this would be the ONLY reason.

I am eating healthier and I only desire good carbs and high protein foods. This is a great improvement for me, because protein was not my thing prior to surgery. Also, I had family visit yesterday, and they questioned me about my age, they wanted to be sure, I said 42. They said you look really good, I looking even younger since surgery. Loving my sleeve, can eat but just enough, feels good.
