Gone For Good Club- August 2006

Happy August 1st everyone!!

This will be our home for the Gone For Good Club – August Challenge.

For any newbies out there, the gone for good Club is our way of “banding” together for support and encouragement as we take off those pounds…(I know, cheap pun)

…Once each pound is lost, we consider it Gone For Good!!!

Weigh ins are on Wednesday in this format: current weight (total loss, this weeks loss) like so: C-350 (-36, -2) This person’s current weight is 350, they have lost 36 lbs so far and they have lost 2 lbs this week.

Feel free to join at any time, by posting a brief introduction for yourself and let us know what you are challenging yourself to. Whether you are banded or not, we are very happy to have your company!

This is not a competition, but just for a little added incentive to each of us, FunnyDuddies has promised a gift to the biggest “loser”, and I will be awarding a prize to the participant with the most creative exercise idea during the challenge.

This month’s challenge will involve keeping a close eye on our BMI’s (Body Mass Index) Here is a link to a BMI calculator so that we can make sure we are all using the same one:

http://www.cdc.gov/nccdphp/dnpa/bmi/adult_BMI/english_bmi_calculator/bmi_calculator.htm

So here’s the challenge: Let’s see how much we can lower our BMI’s over the next few weeks. I want to hear that we are all guzzling our Water, eating healthy, and moving, moving, moving. The more creative the exercise the better! Share your ideas…

And we are all going to try to fight those demons who lurk in closets and cupboards…the one’s that make us crave no-no foods and try to convince us to slip into our old habits and negative patterns. We are united, we are strong and these pounds will soon be GONE FOR GOOD!

Welcome to the club for August, and good luck!!:clap2:

Sunshine

PS

Just a reminder, when posting on this thread, please remember to take out the check mark on "show signatures". This can be such a long thread, that it gets hard for those on dial up to participate. Let's try to keep it as "clean" as possible.

Thanks!!!

Someone needs a heafty dose of maturity. Grow up a little, act like an adult and move on with your lives. This isnt the place for your petty little arguments.

Back to the topic - my research is going good :scalesno: I have some relatives who are interested in the whole process and I'm trying to give them as much info as I can.

A good friend who cracks me up all the time......

I wished for the return of DeLarla....did I get my wish? Only time will tell.

Love you Telly...remember that.

:heh:

I'll remember that Dody but you are making it hard for me woman!!!!

Fun is fun...and truth if truth. I think I found a long lost friend in this thread though....

Still love you Telly...hang in there. I just couldn't help responding to Lisa.....imagine Rainman buying his underwear at Target has me spewing coffee all over the monitor. I can't take much more. I need a nap.

Ok, we all could use a little nappy nap. I'm going to delve back into this work pile. HELP PLEASE!!

I'm apparently the bad girl for defending myself against PM's....so sorry. Nothing more to say on the subject after mo. of avoiding some people. Never again will I be covered in "Psome", it is a lot like "guana" to be honest.

Back to topic...I'm happy and have no more to say on the subject. I eal with my problems with God and prayer and great friends, I don't need the drama that surrounds this place. I'm done with it.

phew - good-bye intruders -- off to PM land for you

back on track as it never should have left ---

C 261 -1 (-17.5 total) yipee -- I actually gained a 2nd lb during the week so I lost 2 this week - but technically just one from Wed. to Wed. so I'm happy I'm back where I was

Keep that train a goin' Mo...

Choo Choo... chugga chugga... chugga chugga!

You are on a roll!!!

We need the Sarge to be a pushin' ya!

I've come to the conclusions wednesdays aren't kind to me.

I was at 222 the day before yesterday! BAH.

But I did nominaly lose 1.5 pounds. so that's good.

That's awesome Dawg. I think that I prefer other days of the week too. The days when there's a decline in the number on the scale. hehehe. That didn't happen for me today

1.5 pounds! You should be doing cartwheels.... remember 1 to 2 pounds a week is the healthy way to lose weight!
