Gone For Good Club- August 2006

Happy August 1st everyone!!

This will be our home for the Gone For Good Club – August Challenge.

For any newbies out there, the gone for good Club is our way of “banding” together for support and encouragement as we take off those pounds…(I know, cheap pun)

…Once each pound is lost, we consider it Gone For Good!!!

Weigh ins are on Wednesday in this format: current weight (total loss, this weeks loss) like so: C-350 (-36, -2) This person’s current weight is 350, they have lost 36 lbs so far and they have lost 2 lbs this week.

Feel free to join at any time, by posting a brief introduction for yourself and let us know what you are challenging yourself to. Whether you are banded or not, we are very happy to have your company!

This is not a competition, but just for a little added incentive to each of us, FunnyDuddies has promised a gift to the biggest “loser”, and I will be awarding a prize to the participant with the most creative exercise idea during the challenge.

This month’s challenge will involve keeping a close eye on our BMI’s (Body Mass Index) Here is a link to a BMI calculator so that we can make sure we are all using the same one:

http://www.cdc.gov/nccdphp/dnpa/bmi/adult_BMI/english_bmi_calculator/bmi_calculator.htm

So here’s the challenge: Let’s see how much we can lower our BMI’s over the next few weeks. I want to hear that we are all guzzling our Water, eating healthy, and moving, moving, moving. The more creative the exercise the better! Share your ideas…

And we are all going to try to fight those demons who lurk in closets and cupboards…the one’s that make us crave no-no foods and try to convince us to slip into our old habits and negative patterns. We are united, we are strong and these pounds will soon be GONE FOR GOOD!

Welcome to the club for August, and good luck!!:clap2:

Sunshine

PS

Just a reminder, when posting on this thread, please remember to take out the check mark on "show signatures". This can be such a long thread, that it gets hard for those on dial up to participate. Let's try to keep it as "clean" as possible.

Thanks!!!

Oddly enough, this day has turned out to be great. I've gotten so much love and support from people here that it would be difficult for the bad to overshadow the good that's come out of it. I'm going to bed tired but ok. Being ok is a good thing I think.

"This Means War!!!!

BiOtch, You've Gone Too Far.

Come One.. Come All And Step Up To This Plate. I Got Something For You To Bite On.

BRING IT!"

Someone's gone a little deloony. C'mon, lets act a little more mature and just put stuff behind us. I dont know the story behind it all and dont really care. I do know that asking it to stop is a lot to ask for but, I didnt come here to watch people scream at each other. If your intent is to scare people away from posting on the LBT then I think you're doing a good job. I'm sure Moderators will agree. Keep it up and people arent going to want to be here. But hey, what do I know, I'm just a newbie... who's not enjoying watching people fight... and is kind of, put off from posting, hey... turns out I do know enough.

what? did someone say something? I can't see or hear an argument....just us nice folks chatting in our own thread.......

Hey CanadaSunshine,

Thanks for taking on this thread for the month. I'm sure it's a lot of work--especially on Wednesdays! I'm sure Susan appreciates the break too.

I find it challenging enough to keep track of my own stats let alone everyone elses. You're doing a great job.

Ah, right, sorry... momentary loss of control there. Not sure what I was talking about... hm.

I like cheese.

Fin.

*bows*

I love cheese! It's my favorite source of protein! In fact, I just finished a half cup of cottage cheese. I got a fill earlier today (no, my doc does not require 24 hours of liquids, not even mushies) and it has been a struggle to get in enough calories and protein today.

Yes, I love cheese of any kind! Even the really smelly ones!

Ok, now I want some peanut butter but I'm too full from the cottage cheese. I could probably even afford the calories right now! How can I be full and still salivating!

MMm... a tablespoon of peanut butter can make you forget all your woes.

And its rather fun to eat.

Ok, back to bed. *snores*

You know, peanut butter never settled well with me. I had to overpower mine with the jelly to be able to eat it as a kid.

I'm fighting my chocolate craving tonight by eating grapes... not quite the same.

*sighs and munches, glaring at psusan for pmaking her peat pheathy pfood*

My favorite is peanut butter with a cut up apple - yum! filling and holds me over between breakfast and dinner when I just don't want a real lunch (oops sorry Telly girl - don't look lol or smell)

I actually like pb&j crackers (with saltines). A little peanut butter, lots of jelly, shove the whole thing in my mouth (preband days of course), yummy-yum!
