I will see Dr Garcia tomorrow as I am in Chicago and he is doing a weight loss seminar here tomorrow. I really wanted to see him again after my surgery to thank him in person and I never thought that I would. Since Chicago is a short distance from where I am in Iowa I came for the weekend and first time in Chicago. I am excited to hear what he has to say tomorrow and I want to get a picture of me and him together. I will keep you informed.

I had surgery on Nov 29th with Dr. Aceves, my mom went with me and stayed in the room. I couldn't imagine her not staying with me. They have a nice cafeteria where she ate everyday. It really worked out perfect because she was there to help do whatever. We went walking the halls and outside a few times, it was a little cold when I was there. It was a great experience.

I am almost 7 weeks out and I am down 46 pounds since the day of surgery, no complications. I have followed Dr. Aceves' post op instructions to the letter!

Good Luck! You will do great!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
