You Can Gain Weight With The Sleeve

OK ... Time for honesty ... Since the birth of my son on October 11 to now, I have gained 10 pounds from my "preferred" weight. I have gone off plan, eatten cookies, cakes and all the treats around for the holidays. In my past life, I would have blown this off as "anyone would have gained weight with the holidays". But, the new me needs to be accountable and know that only I choose what I put in my mouth and what happens to my body. I need my Sleever Friends to support me. Keep me accountable. Each Monday I am going to weigh and report my progress. I feel my best around 127 with a bounce of down to 125 to 130. So, my goal is to get back to 127 as soon as I can in a safe and responsible manner. Are you up for supporting me & giving me a kick in the pants if I fall off plan? Thanks in advance guys!

taking accountability is awesome, you will back on track in no time!!!

Of course we will support you! I think it is great for us to be there for each other. I wanted to thank you for sharing this. Today was NOT a good day for me since I was around some amazing food at my inlaws. I was snacking all day and I ate way too much. Seeing this is helping ME get back on track too. I know you can do this! Congrats on your baby boy!

Keep staying focused,go back to basics and jump start your weight loss. Your baby boy will work it off you. Eat protein first, use a small plate, drink lots of water and exercise. You know what works for you. You can't eat sweets, breads, etc. Get down to business! ;)

This is good that you stopped yourself after the 10 lb weight regain. Be proud of yourself for ending the unhealthy foods so soon. One if you kept going down the fatty food road and gained back even more?

Ugh ... holiday treats. Thank heavens it's a new year, and all our friends and coworkers will have resolved to lose weight and maybe they'll quit bringing in so many yummy temptations!

We're all here to help whether you need a hug or a butt-kicking! biggrin5.gif

Thanks everyone. Good wake-up call for me. Has been so easy up til now - kickin my butt to the curb! ;0

You can do it ! I believe in you ..(sounds corney but true) you can make your sleeve work for you..back to protein, protein... protein. Write every single thing you eat down or save it on a phone app (I love fat secret). work on your fluids andexercising and you wont have time to want those snacks.

oh! I definitely know what to do - it's just doing it. Back on track this morning & my day is already loaded into Myfitnesspal.com.

Hey girl, long time no see. Don't beat yourself up, say you have a 3 month old? Just cut the crap foods out of your life but concentrate on being healthy for you and your guy and happy!

I definately packed on the weight this christmas! But i'm not going to beat myself up about it, cause i'm the cause of it. . . so i know very well what to do and will do it. . i did this to myself, therefore i can undo it to myself as well. . . thank goodness for this great tool. . . today i've had a pear and banana and will have a wee bit of dinner later on. . loads of water and a good walk this evening.

Hey Mini... good to see you!

You are not alone my sleeve friend... I too had an amazing chrimbo and gained a few pounds above my 'bounce weight' (I love that saying)... I am back to basics and this is day two and doing well... you can do this... you know you can!

I am determined to get to my surgeon's goal this year... so together we are in it to win it!

Good luck and let us know how you're doing! =]

Coops - I have missed you!

I know I can win it. Just hate that I let myself do this, but I what is done is done.

I'm going to start knitting again so that my hands are too busy to eat. So, if I'm not holding the baby, I'll be holding my knitting needles. blush5.gif

Hey Coops and Mini-me, I remember you from when I first came on this site in 2010. I too have gained a few pounds from my preferred weight on 120. My housemate got a scale and I'm hoovering at 123. 3 pounds, no biggie right? Well it kinda is for me cuz I'm afraid it'll go from 3 to 13 to 30 to... Plus it's there because my eating habits have been crap. Gotta recommit to protein first and to laying off the sweets. Goodness but they are still my weakness
