202 this week down 2 lbs. Can't seem to get under 200

IT'S COMING :)

Surg date 5/21

SW 250

CW 229

Made it to the 220s today...finally!!! Hung out at 230 for four days. scale was teasing me. Now I'm eyeing 219, which I've posted in the July 4 challenge. A good Saturday!!

Now off to a seafood festival with friends who don't know, so will be spending the day coming up with excuses for why I'm not eating anything!

Awesome!!!! Have Fun!!!!!!

So I can't weigh today because I am at a beach house with no scale. However, I weighed Thursday and made it to 198.2 down from 202.6 last Saturday. Finally to Onederland and out of my 3rd stall-Woo Hoo!!! I've been really good this week working out, drinking lots of Water and getting alll my Protein in. Even drank Water all night while others drank liquor. Yay me!

SW: 243.6

CW: 198.2 (maybe less since I haven't weighed since Thursday)

45.4 lbs lost so far since pre-op March 1st

YOU DID IT! YAYYY! ONEderful!!

Down. 4pds. this week 236 from 240.

Whoo hoo!!!

Down 4lbs from 265 to 261. Not as much as I'd like to see, but definitely acceptable in a 0 exercise week. I've been stuck on the couch since last Sunday due to minor strains in both Achilles tendons. Just about healed now. I'm thinking instead of walking for a while I'm gonna find an elliptical machine.

Way to GO!

LOOK AT MY TICKER! I'm at my halfway point. I totally have tears in my eyes right now.

I lost 3.2 lbs this week. I haven't had larger than a 2 lb drop in at least 8 weeks.

I went from 235.2 down to 232. Three more lbs and it will be 90 lbs lost.

AWWWW!!!! SO AWESOME! CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!

I went from 238 last week to 236.4 for a 1.6 pound loss this week. I'm not excercising either (other than upper body),,resting a bummed up knee due to a bike accident. :( You don't realize how much you miss excercise till you can't do it. Can't wait till I hear the results of my MRI then I can move on.

I agree, this thread does help me stay focused. I think about it during the week "I hope I lose this week so I can post good news." Just a little extra motivator. :)

Good luck to you, Jane, and congrats on your decision! What day is your surgery?

Thanks Vance! My "Rebirthday" is June 25. The process and time has gone by relatively quickly. Now, with that being said, I start the preop diet on Monday and the final two week countdown....I bet time will begin to "s l o w" down dramatically. ;)

Still pre-op, but everybody got me so excited about losing weight, I started early. Side note: I haven't dieted in years.

SW: 280.5

CW: 271.4 - 1 week of high protein/low carb

Wow, that's some really great numbers. Wish I could've done that well preop.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
