Banana Babes

Hello November Sleevers!

Please come and introduce yourselves! Scorch picked our name a few weeks ago in another thread. We are the banana BABES, because like she said, " our stomachs will end up looking like a banana".

I will start.

November 16th is my big day! I would have LOVED to have accepted the 7th, but I have tickets to see STING in concert. Don't you love my priorities? :P (Actually the tickets were expensive, non refundable & my husband would kill me).

So the 16th it is and I couldn't be happier. Before Thanksgiving is probably not ideal, but being sleeved and somewhat recovered by January 1st ,2012 is way more important to me. I can't wait!

So just checking in with all of you. I was sleeved November 7, 2011 and I am down 35 lbs. Very happy with my results so far. I am into the 7th week so I am eating chicken, beef, mashed potatoes, cooked veggies, as well as the usual quick stuff like yogurt, cottage cheese, protein shakes cheese etc. Everything goes down good and the only time I have any trouble is of course when I eat too fast and do not chew, chew, chew. I am finding that I can drink water a lot easier and don't have to sip. My clothes are falling off and I am 4 dress sizes down..Whoo Hoo...This surgery was the best thing I have ever done for myself..

Sounds like you all are doing awesome!! I am now a little over a month out & down 42 lbs since a week before surgery. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT. I feel incredible. All my clothes are getting way too big & I am roller skating and/or going to the gym at LEAST 5 times a week. I also had a few bites of chocolate cake yesterday & it went down fine. I feel perfect!

Merry Christmas! Hope everyone did well through out the holidays, The pain I had went away so I feel very happy....Fell myself again..

Merry Christmas to you too! Glad to hear you are doing well now. Hopefully everyone else is having a great holiday as well. I for one am THRILLED to start a new year already sleeved, less heavy and happier!

Yes, it's great to know by the summer we will be at our normal healthy weight... happy New Year 2012

I'm down 45 pounds with pre op diet, 35 after sleeve...

SO excited that I finally reached 30lbs LOST (forever) biggrin5.gif

To top it off, I did it during the holidays-- that would have NEVER happened without my sleeve!

I was sleeved November 28th. Including a little postop loss, I've lost just over 50 lbs. Everything was going great until I developed terrible GERD (laryngoesophageal reflux) 6 weeks postop. I lose my voice all the time and have a thick feeling in my throat. I'm on Protonix twice a day to see if this will help but so far no change. Anyone else having any problems?

You are looking amazing Brenda!!! Congrats ;)

I'm attaching this photo from my phone, so I hope it's not huge! I was sleeved the day before Thanksgiving. Down 60 pounds or so (my scale sucks!) including pre-op loss. My sleeve has changed my life soooo much! :)
