  1. Dr. Garcia and his team are fabulous...I had my surgery Nov. 7th 2011. Surgery is done in a hospital which was very clean. Nursing staff were excellent. No worries. So happy I had my surgery in Mexico. I am down 76 lbs...
  2. Amazing...you look fantastic...love what my vertical sleeve is doing for me too. I feel so much better...

  4. I too had surgery with Dr. Garcia at Hospital Mi in Tijuana on November 7/11 and had a great experience. Dr. Garcia's team are top notch and the staff at the hospital were the best. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Garcia. I am down 42 lbs. so far and have never regretted having the surgery. My sister and a friend also had the sleeve surgery with Dr. Garcia on Nov. 7th. He did all three of us the same day and they are very happy with the results so far. All the best to you in your surgery journey...
  5. I am 9 wks Post Op and just this week my sleeve isn't responding or feeling so good. Just wondering if anyone out there has had a similiar experience. When I drink or eat anything I get a stuck full feeling in my chest and feel nausea come on. I wait a bit and my stomach gurgles away and I don't feel good until I can let out a burp. This happens even after the first bite or sip of Protein shake. I was feeling and eating great up until a few days ago. It's like my sleeve grew smaller. On Boxing Day I had a really bad stomach flu which landed me in emergency from dehydration and the violent vomiting. They exrayed my stomach, did blood work, and filled me with 3 bags of Fluid. Everything checked out ok and after a couple of days at home I felt back to normal and my sleeve felt good... So I'm not sure why I am having troubles now 3 wks later. I am going to try to go back to liquids for a bit and see if that helps..Liquids are not as bad but I still have the full dense feeling in my stomach. Any ideas out there would be most appreciated. Brenda
  6. Thanks for sharing your experiences with salad and rice. Will wait until I hit the 3 month mark for the salad experience. Have had sushi with rice and it went down fine. Sashimi was sooooo good. Still a learning experience but well worth it.

  9. Hey Michell...how are you doing so far? I am doing great other than bouts with acid reflux..i sure hope it goes away after time and isn't a permanent issue. Hello Curious!! Doctors in our area don't know much about the Vertical Sleeve and there is about a 6 year waiting list to have it done in British Columbia so that is why I had my surgery in Mexico. I would highly recommend Dr. Fernando Garcia and The Mi Doctor Hospital in Tijuana. Dr. Garcia did the surgery for my sister, a friend, and myself the same day and we are all doing fantastic and losing weight as expected.
  10. Oh yes...that just happened to me on Sunday. Had a scrambled egg for breakfast and ate it way to fast and didn't chew chew chew and along came the slimes. Managed to keep it down though..I sure don't want to have that happen again. So easy to forget that eating is supposed to be a slow process. Same with drinking water right now. I just want to down that glass of water but can't. Please someone tell me it will get better..I am 15 days being sleeved in Mexico with Dr. Garcia.
