Banana Babes

Hello November Sleevers!

Please come and introduce yourselves! Scorch picked our name a few weeks ago in another thread. We are the banana BABES, because like she said, " our stomachs will end up looking like a banana". :lol:

I will start.

November 16th is my big day! I would have LOVED to have accepted the 7th, but I have tickets to see STING in concert. Don't you love my priorities? :P (Actually the tickets were expensive, non refundable & my husband would kill me).

So the 16th it is and I couldn't be happier. Before Thanksgiving is probably not ideal, but being sleeved and somewhat recovered by January 1st ,2012 is way more important to me. I can't wait!

@VFB- your welcome! Come often!

@dying2Bhealthy- HOLY MOLY!!!!!!!!!! That's 2.78 pounds per day!!! OH MY GOODNESS! You go girl!!!!

I think my poor little body was literally "dying to be healthy" lol ;-)

So it didn't take long to start dropping the pounds! Good luck to everyone else, & I certainly hope everyone is feeling as good as I am :-)

1 more day till I am sleeve, I am so nervous :Banane55:

OK my sleeve friends, my day has come and I am calm and relax, just leaving everything ready around the house.

@VFB- thank you for you words and wishes... yes today at 1pm is my surgery... please send me prayers.

@ Long Life- thank you for all the information, so glad you doing well.

@Dying2behealthy- congrats you doing great!

@ Liliana- best of luck!

@Geno- so happy to hear you are calm!!!! Yeah!!!!! Breathe in, breathe out sweetie.

@Liliana-same to you. Breathe in, breathe out. Sending tons of good vibes to Geno and you.

Geno and Liliana... Best wishes and good thoughts today!

My surgery day is tomorrow. I'm excited and nervous and have NO idea how I'm going to be able to concentrate at work today!

I have to call in this afternoon to find out what time tomorrow my surgery will be. My doctor does three surgeries In one day and I know that one of the other patients is having a RNY bypass, so I'm hoping I will be the first or second surgery of the day.

Reading over this conversation thread has been so helpful. Thank you to all the Banana Babes!

CeeCeeFree I was thinking about Sonja and you! Glad to see your post and that coming here has been helpful. You are so close! How exciting. Come visit us as soon as you feel up to it ok? Take good care of yourself.

Hey guys! So glad to hear everyones surgery went well and good luck to all those about to have it done. I am 1 week post op now and feel pretty great and back to normal. I am starting to get really tired of the protein shakes tho! Can't wait another week until my doc lets me go onto the mushies! I keep watching the food network channel and salivating at how good all the food looks lol. i know i'm a sucker for self infliction. i call it my food porn channel now hahaha. I did order some unjury chicken soup so i can change it up from time to time with all the protein shakes. Also, good news i did my 1 week weigh in and i lost 19 pounds since surgery! I'm overly happy and now the protein shakes don't seem as bad lol.

Hey everyone, glad to see your all doing good. I've been losing somewhat slowly but still averaging 5lbs a week. So that makes me very happy.

I found out that I am the first of my doctor's three surgeries tomorrow morning. I need to be at the hospital at 6 am for surgery at 8. I'm as ready as I am going to be. I cannot wait until I wake up in the recovery room on the other side of surgery. Wish me luck! I'll post tomorrow when I can!

CeeCee- I will be thinking about you tomorrow! Best of luck to you, sending lots of positive energy and prayers your way!

Good morning Babes! I am off to the hospital... Boy it's early! (4:30 am) and I am soo thirsty! Lol.

Just weighed myself and I am at 222. My beginning weight was 255. I'll update you all as soon as I can! Thank you for your support and good thoughts! -Ceecee

Glad you are happy! Our bodies will do what they will do and 20 pounds a month is AMAZING! I am trying to reign in my imagination so my expectations don't get out of whack. This beats ANY diet we have tried in the past right? Take care!

Anyone on their "thickened liquid" stage?

I was served my first shake at the hospital! My surgeon only does clear liquids for 20 something hours.
